Do not flirt back if they are under the legal age. Girls want men, not boys. Being older is very, very attractive, but I was attracted to high schoolers when I was in middle school, college guys when I was in high school and grad students now that I'm in college. It's cool to have an older guy. Just show them that you do not want to flirt with them. You do not want to get in trouble. If they're like 18, or maybe even 17 it would be fine, but 16 is far too young for a 20 year old.
I've always been more inclined to hangout with older people in general like in 7th I would have been dating a 9th grader, or most of my friends would already have been in high school long before I would've been. There's something more appealing whether it be on an intellectual level or physical about an older person.
If it bothers you where a fake wedding ring so that girls will think you are taken. Or a fake engagement ring. I know a lot of guys who do this when they don't want to be approached or when they do (ring finger - don't approach me) - middle finger (please ask me out)
It doesn't seem to stop... I'm 32 and I still have really young girls that hit on me. The last one was Friday evening. She's a spicy young Italian girl that works at the pizzeria with a cute face and she's banging in all the right places. She's crazy confident and I know she must be flirting with the border of legality. I've just ignored her advances every time she takes a run at me, she feels way to young... Maybe she's 19, but maybe she's 16. It's hard to tell.
It's really just kind of a natural thing I guess. You're older, can do more fun stuff, more secure and mature then guys their age.

Well I'm going to assume you are attractive, usually young girls are attracted to older guys because they think that they are much more mature than the guys their age, it's also about the fact that they know the guy can take care of himself (and therefor her) as usually they have graduated, are going to collage or have a job, most have cars ect...
Bc guys our age are usually more immature than girls, we mature faster hence liking older guys
They just like attention
