Should I ask my crush's friend if my crush likes me?

Valentine's Day I sent a candy gram and told my crush that I like him. I wanted to talk to him about it and see if he liked me before we went on winter break but I chickened out and didn't talk to him. I'm kicking myself in the butt for not asking him. I kind of want to ask one of his friends if my crush likes me, but I don't know if my crush told his friend. Is that weird if I ask him? Should I do it? How do I say it... it would be on Snapchat?

You should ask your crush. I remember this happened back in middle school, where my friend had a crush on a guy and didn't want to ask so had me ask his friends and then they thought I had a crush on him but I didn't, all in all, it was just overly complicated and it would have been much simpler for her to ask him directly (it's great that you recognize how complicated it might get since his friend might not know). You could do it in person, if that's too scary, Snapchat/text/other messenger service would also work. I will have to say I recommend doing it in person, having to wait to get a response would probably be terrifying, at least if you do it in person you'll get a response basically immediately. Be brave! Don't be scared. If it doesn't work out, know that you are young and given time, will find someone who's perfect for you.

Thank you and one of my friends actually asked one of his friends without me knowing and now he thinks that she sent him the candy gram, but I know my crush knows it was me because it had an inside joke in it!
