Why are girls always giving me attitude?

So this is something I've been noticing lately. If I'm at a party for instance. I just pretty much walk up to just about any guy in the room, and we'll be friendly with each other. Just make small talk or whatever, and sometimes almost become friends by the time the night is over.

The girls on the other hand, always give me attitude. For example, I was at a party the other day, and my buddy shows up with this new girl he just met. After speaking with him a bit, I decided to include her in the conversation and started asking her about her job and other stuff like that. She kept giving me this look like I was an idiot for asking, and would give me these short snide answers, like I was bothering her. This type of reaction has been so common in many of the women I meet. They can't just be friendly have a normal conversation, they have to always give me this attitude of completely arrogance, like I'm some creep.

For the record I'm not hitting on these girls or even coming close to doing so, and I know I'm not a socially awkward person. These also aren't exactly always completely strangers, so there is no reason they should be defensive.

Am I just unlucky running into so many unfriendly women, or is this part of some other social shift going on where so many women have adopted this mindset that all men are creeps, jerks, peverts, who must be default always have sexual motives when talking to them?

well first of all I think you should take some time and even note down how you're displaying yourself. are you loud and very bubbly with everyone? how are you approaching people? how is your attitude? can you appear to maybe be a little perverted or do you cuss out loud...? I'm not saying you are don't get me wrong but I really believe girls give you an attitude for a reason.

its not always the case though... they can just be snobs or just plain antisocial.

what I suggest you do is when approaching say... your best friend with a new girl. approach slowly don't just jump on the guy like I've seen guys do before and make sure they see you coming. so at least you know that you didn't take them by surprise and she can take you in (as in your looks, clothes, hair...) before so she doesn't have to absorb everything DURING the 'conversation'.

now you go talk to your friend or whoever it is in a very charismatic but not cocky way. say hello, don't cuss or use vulgar language which will scare the girl off, be yourself but don't get too comfortable. and you don't HAVE to include her right away. just talk to your friend and when if he introduces her then fine, if he doesn't then before you leave say nice to meet you, smile and walk away.

the involving her in part is HIS job not yours :)

now if the girl still looks at you weirdly... she either has poor social skills or is plain crazy... and you want no part of that so just don't even try include her.it's her problem.

all I say is be yourself but don't treat people (especially new people) too comfortable. just you know give them space :)

First of all, these aren't girls I'm randomly walking up to, which would yes, appear that I'm hitting on them. They're just girls I choose to include int he conversation because they're standing in the same room or sitting at the the same table. Maybe we're just standing around having a random conversation over beers or a cigarette. I don't use profanity, I'm very level headed, I'm kind, I'm not vulgar or sexual at all, and I'm very intelligent. I dress well and get complimented all the time.

It's funny because any adult female I've talked to like my friends mom's, clients, coworkers, all comment about how nice of a guy I am and how much I have going for me. They comment on how well I carry myself and how articulate I am. So have gone so far as to tell me they would love to hook me up with their daughter, niece, etc.

The point, is I know its not me. It's just immature girls having an attitude for no reason.

Another example, to add to the one in my question, is at the same party, I was standing by the wall drinking my beer talking to a friend while observing some drunk people play twister (yeah it was pretty entertaining lol). The really attractive girl was next to me with her friend and some other guy who she said something to while he was walking by. She started some random banter with the guy passing buy and eventually, I made a little joke and tried to enter into the conversation.

Again, just like any person would do at a party. I overheard a funny conversation so I added my 2 cents. The guy had no problem and turned to address me, letting me join in on the conversation. The girl just gave me this look as if to say "who the f*** are you? probably some drunk idiot who should get the f*** away from me". I don't understand why she can't just engage me in conversation like a normal person. There are easily 10 other guys at this party who I barely know there names but we are

practically friends now, just because like this situation, we simply were open to social interacting if we just so happen to enter into a conversation together. Instead of seeing each other as a threat, we simply engage the person in the conversation since they happen to be standing or sitting next to us. 5min later we're having a beer and shooting the sh*t. Why can't girls do this?

well, maybe the girl like him and thought you were butting in. now in my opinion I see nothing wrong with that and you did the friendly thing to do. if this girl's going to treat you like some freak you don't have to put up with that. its her problem... so just politely say you have to leave or something and go talk to someone who's actually worth talking to.

there are tons of other social girls... thing is at parties most girls are going to be crazy as f*ck so just be aware that they're drunk

That's just how a lot of girls are when they think they are good looking (at least in the US and similar). The answer as to why they do it is because they can. Grow a thicker skin and learn to bat these idiots around. At the end you are basically forced to since to completely ignore them has its own set of problems. Someone suggested you "call them out", or something like that. Go ahead and find out the hard way how unnecessary that is, if not futile. With that said, if all else fails it's best to pretend they are mentally ill and ignore them. If you continue to chat up girls like this your hormones are lying to you.

Your right, a lot of it has to do with these girl thinking or knowing they're hot, and carrying the attitude to go with it. I've tried ignoring them which is obviously easy and stress free, but obviously I can't go through life never interacting with an attractive women. I think part of it is because I live in the north near a big city, so lots of the girl have that stuck up cosmo attitude. They're more progressive and not as homely.

You must call them out. Expose their bitchy attitude. In this day and age being polite is confused with flirting. Just bring that girl back down to earth. Tell her that just because you're talking to her doesn't mean you want her. Too many girls at parties walk around like they have a stick up their ass. Some reality makes them calm down and you could even have a decent convo afterward too.

I totally agree, and normally I don't have a problem doing this. Sometimes though its not really the time and place. Like obviously I'm not going to call out my buddies new girl who I just met and make things awkward for him. But you're right. I think so many girls just have this attitude like their sh*t don't stink and that every guy wants to bone them because they're so hot. They carry this arrogant attitude around everywhere and it makes them so unfriendly.

you know something. Surprisingly at my age the younger chicks can't pass their attitude test. I been their many times besides I just don't chat chicks because some of them are not even funny. I suggest that you hang around elder guys with their girlfriends to analyze how the correct introduction goes. I already do that steadygrounds. I just walk away from these girl and don't waste more than a minute being friendly to them when they clearly have a totally stuck up attitude. The problem, is by doing this, I have found myself to literally be surrounded by nothing but men all the time, (which isn't always bad thing until I want a date or to get laid), because I've had to drop all the women around me for being attitude packed drama queens.

It's just amazing that in a room of 100 people, I can find about 50 guys worth talking to and being friends with while I'd by lucky to find one girl worth befriending in the same room. It's really amazing what I believe feminism, has done to our female population.

Just as example. My buddy moved in with some new roommates. They always throw parties with tons of people (50-100). Half the guys at the party I'm already shaking hands with as soon as I walk in the door and we barely even know each

others names. We're all just friendly with each other like a bunch of bros even though we just met each other the previous weekend. All the girls on the other hand still act like strangers and are completely unfriendly. Getting them to open their mouth or even smile at you is like pulling teeth. I'm not sure what all these women seek to gain by walking around with a stick up their ass at a party which is supposed to be fun.

Maybe it's because you're trying so hard to be validated by them that it's a turn off? Dunno. Maybe you aren't as charming or socially experienced as you think your are?

Asking a girl what she does for work, and what she does for fun is self validating? I'm just making small talk. I'm not even walking up to these women randomly. They're just generally not as open to interaction. They're simply unfriendly in every way.

No. You are validating yourself because you are the one "needing" to socialize with these people. You keep trying even though their body language and probably what they say indicates they don't want to socialize with you. It just seems you try too hard. I couldbe wrong but yeah.

No I assure you this isn't it. This isn't me walking up to random girls and trying to talk when they're clearly not having it. I'm just saying we happen to cross paths. Maybe we're standing next to each other having a cig. Maybe were playing beer pong together. Maybe we happen to be sitting next to each other during a drinking game. Maybe we share a mutual friend that we're both talking to. I'm not asking them to talk to me for an hour, for 10 min even.

I respect that she may not be in the mood to talk or have a serious conversation with someone she just met. I'm not looking for that. But you can at least be civil like you would any stranger in public, instead of acting like a total bitch.

It does not really matter why if someone is acting like that just ignore them. Either they are arrogant or just don't vibe with you. You have to filter out the negative vibes and find the good ones.
