Well, this guy usually stares at me when I'm not looking. I kind of feel his eyes on me. And he smiles. When he's far, he looks in my eyes and has a little smile but when we're close, he only glances and when our eyes meet, he quickly looks away.

We don't talk to each other and I barely know him. He's not the shy type, more a popular one.

Absolutely. I'm just like him and work just like him. Eye contact can win nearly anyone over. But i'm just like him, too shy to ask her out :(

I understand he can be shy but, today I tried twice to catch his eyes and smile but the two times he walked past me he looked behind or in the opposite side.
What the hell is he doing?

You shouldn't be getting mad about it. Even if you try to catch his eye, you will and he'll look away. It's just what shy guys do. He likes you, try stopping him in the halls and having a conversation or something.

But he doesn't seem shy at all when he talks to other people and all.
And I can't talk to him, I'm afraid of being rejected and shy. And what can I say to him?

Honestly. I'm exactly like him, lol. I'm shy as fuck around gorgeous girls but I don't seem shy at all when i'm talking to friends and all. The difference is that they're your friends, you have nothing to worry about. But when that girl comes around, you're nervous as fuck and you don't know why.

Just go up to and if you don't know his name, just ask for his name. No guy would reject a girl or deny her of something unless he really thinks she's unattractive or annoying. And i'm pretty sure you're neither of them. Anyways, just go up to him when he's not with his friends or something and have a normal conversation. You can choose what you want to talk about, he'll go along with it, trust me.
