What does it mean when a guy keeps looking into your eyes during the conversation?

I have asked him some questions. He hasn't replied at once, just kept looking into my eyes for seconds. I wondered why he had kept silent, and I moved a little. Then he started to talk, but still kept looking into my eyes.

Because people are supposed to look into others eyes when talking it denotes attentiveness, respect, and honesty. Not looking around the room at everything else Or your phone but not the person you're talking to that's rude.

Well, he's a nice guy. But I don't think he was frozen and kept looking into my eyes instead of replying me is a way to show respect. Maybe he thought I looked weird?

Shyness, and how he likes you. Eye contact is what a guy shows to show that he is interested so that you will like him. Guy techniques haha. Shyness means he might not reply instantly, being quiet. But that's an odd one.

He's not a shy guy. This has never happened before. We have met for months, and I don't think he has ever interested in me during the past few months. It's so weird! Is it really the way that guys show interest to girls?
