Guy's Behavior

Guy hasn't texted in a week and a half, do I still have a chance?

I went on a trip to Spain and when I was there met a guy who lives about half an hour from me. We spent a lot of time together when we were on holiday and I was convinced he liked me.

When I got home, he'd text me every day but always with a purpose, but after about 2 weeks he stopped texting. I often send him a text about once a week to catch up with him and we have a long conversation he always replies but he's stopped initiating!

I know he's a really busy person so I don't expect him to text me a lot, just once in a while like he used to would be nice. He often suggests meeting up but never pursues it or organises it or says 'if I knew you were free I would have met you this weekend.' In about 3 weeks time, I'm moving down south to the town he lives in so it's not like distance is a problem.

I met him last week for a drink in a bar and we had a nice evening, he even walked me home and lent me his jacket What do you guys think?

Could he be so used to me texting first that he thinks I'm uninterested? I've kind of subtley been playing hard to get by sometimes not replying to his last message. I thought I made it pretty obvious I liked him by giving him attention but perhaps he doesn't believe I'm interested? Could he be so shy that he doesn;t know what to text? He seems to only text if he's making plans or has something important to say, but he never initiates chit chat.
