Guys, Opinion on girls that lift? Are you intimidated by muscle?

I'm a powerlifter (not pro or anything). I have been doing it for 2 years.
My body type is very toned with good arms and abs. But I also take pride in my curves (waist, hips, ass and boobs lol). Overall I'm not very muscular compared to other female powerlifters.

Sadly I only get approached by guys at the gym or extremely muscular guys.

I'm not interested in the kind of guys I meet at the gym and I want to know if regular guys are intimidated by girls who lift?

Also, why do you think guys may find it manly or intimidating?

I don't think so... not really. I mean, I'm intimidated by beautiful women in general, - heh -but not because of them "lifting" or having a thing like that.

I think if there was a competition between us, I'd be a little intimidated by losing, but only a little, and mostly that'd because I'd look even more inadequate next to her.

This woman I'm interested in does all this martial arts stuff (and yoga). Only part of that I'm intimidated by is that I'm a flabby ugly little bag of goo that she'd probably never want to date... because she could probably get any guy she wanted.. But I'm intimidated by her in general just because she's really cool. Not because she could beat me up (which she could hands down). I think that's awesome she could stick up for herself and defend herself. I like that she wants to stay healthy and has found a thing that she can do that works. Really attractive, even if that's not "my world."

Muscle-bound women look manly, and that's a huge turn-off for me. There are definitely guys who are into that, but they're the exception to the rule. Most guys prefer a softer look on their women.

If that's you in the pics, you look fantastic now - just be cautious about pushing it too much further IF you care about what men think. Obviously, if you don't care, then do whatever you want.

Well I'm not an avid body builder, but I like to work out and look good. But, girls that go to the gym daily tells me that they are looking for like minded individuals who are strict eaters and have that work out regime constantly in mind. I probably wouldn't mind going to work out daily, but I don't have the time really sometimes or the energy. I do find very fit women extremely attractive though and I would love to get together with one. Just, maybe, the stigma behind it. Also, I feel they would be all about their bodies and such and not really into anything else. But that's probably painting all in a stereotypical fashion. You just look at girls on Youtube and such that go into competitions and such for body building and all they talk about it, "i'm so ripped" and "I lift so much." I can see that you are in good shape, don't make it an obsession that I can't be apart of.

I would say that they would actually find it intimidating because its different, specially for a guy who does not go to the gym at all. And manly because you figure its the guy who is suppose to be the muscular kind... but this time around its the other way around, so it would throw guys off a bit.

I go to the gym regularly and I really am attracted to other girls that lift weights at the gym. I'd say it's true though. Most guys will think they aren't beefed up for you to like them. If you like a guy that's not the type of guy that usually approaches you just try to act super friendly with them. Let them know you don't look down on them and that they have a shot if they tried to ask you out.

An olympic weightlifter. She's literally one of the strongest women on the planet and she has a very girly looking body. You can lift your entire life and chances are you will not look more muscled than her since she's better at lifting weights than all but a couple other women on the planet.

Guys are not as impressed with things that make guys guys. Guys want girls to be girls. They're not as impressed by all that as much as YOU are. They are more interested in what you'll do for THEM.
