NO! Cardio doesn't do much for the muscles if you want to get toned and have a better looking body. I use to think lifting weight is a guy thing but it's not! many girls here at the gym (vancouver) lift weights! I got a personal trainer for a few sessions to teach me forms so I don't hurt myself. YOU go and pick up that weight!

Exercising one way or another is done by both genders. We all need to exercise to help our body stay in shape. It's not a guy thing. And weight-lifting is done by girls too. I've seen it at the gym and those women look great when doing exercises like that. If you enjoy the feeling of doing those exercises then do it.
Lift away, and when you get to the point when you can lift more than the guys, just be PROUD of yourself!!! Women are AMAZING, and you should do whatever you want, and if the guys are embarrassed, then that's their problem!!

Nah I've seen plenty of girls come into the gym. I don't think it's a guy thing. I think it's great to see a woman in the gym. Not even talking about a sexual standpoint. I'm just saying from a motivational standpoint. Seeing a woman work hard is motivational.
Don't worry about it everybody's a beginner at some stage plus they'll probably be busy themselves and won't really pay attention to what you're doing.
There's also the option of going to a female only gym.Strength training is a must for both genders... it is not a guy thing at all. A all round work out will always include resistance training. Do not worry about what others think.
Nah, do it. Walk in like you own it and they'll respect you for it. It's not a guy's domain and I respect and appreciate when anybody, girl or guy, is taking steps towards self-improvement
If you want to train, then train, we don't care, I work in a gym and I see women of all shapes and sizes train, the guys don't care and the women don't care.
People who are at the gym for the right reasons (fitness) don't care about anything or anyone except their own workout.
