Is it inappropriate for a mother to wear a bikini in front of her sons and their friends?

OK I'm asking this for a friend, she's in her early 40s and has two teenage sons (one 15 one 17) and she still has a great body. Actually a bit like Courtney Cox in that show ( cougar town or sth). Anyways she and her family and two friends of her sons go on vacation to Miami and she was wondering if it was inappropriate for her to walk around in bikini.

While i'm a little older than the boys mentioned in the question i can relate to the dilema from a son's perspective. My mother looks like the twin sister of the model Kendra Sunderland. She can easily pass as a college girl and nobody believes she is actually in her 30's. I got teased constantly by my buddies about my moms looks. Friends would talk about my moms body and would tell me she is playboy material.

Of course your friend should be able to enjoy the beach in her preferred swimwear but yes the son is going to hear about it.

When i had my 16th birthday party at my house my mom wore a very normal bikini but my friends went nuts. I heard about it for weeks at school. It is one thing for your friends to say your mom is hotter than the girls at school but it got awkward and uncomfortable when they would ask things about what she wears to bed at night and ask me if i ever get to see her naked.

I doubt it would make them feel awkward although nobody I know particularly wants to see a lot of skin on a parent it would be normal on the beach. Tell her not to wear a bikini if around the son's friends though because if she is really hot the friends will be talking about it to their friends and the sons will be very embarrassed, not cool lol.

I don't think it's necessarily inappropriate, but personally, I'd probably choose something a little more modest because I know it can be really uncomfortable for teen boys to have their friends check out their mom and talk about how hot she is, etc. and so I'd be mindful of what I wore in front of my son's friends.

Well, this model is maybe 18 and voluptuous, your friend hopefully won't like that appetizing to the teenage guys.. But the STYLE, yes, is more modest!

My mother is seriously sexy too and I love her and am proud of her. My mother wears some revealing clothes and that is fine with me. She has an awesome body that is made for a bikini so why shouldn't she wear one when appropriate? I am not even embarrassed when she wears flimsy tops that show most of her breasts. I am proud that I was born from such an awesome body.
