The good news is, you're on the right track to confidence !
By just faking it as you put it, you will eventually become confident without even noticing it ! (you're also still very young, and confidence comes with age as you gain more and more experience!)
What you are actually doing right now is establishing a new mind-set, a mind-set that works on the basis of auto-suggestion, which again means that you're persistently pursuing a goal in your mind. And this goal is your desired confidence. Devote just 10 minutes a day to thinking about who you'd like to be in 1 year from now and figure out the necessary steps to get there. Establish the habit of positive thinking too, since this will contribute to your overall mental well-being. The motto is "Fake it until you make it" , you basically trick yourself into thinking you are confident !
Another remark : Teenagers are usually insecure about how their peers perceive them because they gradually become detached from their families and rather seek approval or recognition from people their age. Teenagers want to fit in and are busy finding out who they really are, so your insecurity is pretty normal.

You should proabably try and be with friends as much as you can, being with those you know like you for who you are is allways the best remedy for low self esteem in my opinion
I would suggest you should just stop carring about what others think about you, what you what to do, look like or whatever is only up to you.
