However, he has texted me saying he's fine, or "nah, no worries" or something like that.
I don't want him to continue to suffer being sick, so why won't he let me do something for him so he feels relieved at least once?
It's an insecurity/masculinity thing. He doesn't want to feel vulnerable or incompetent by asking for help. It's not rational, but it doesn't have to be- it's just how he feels. If he's been sick often, then this is likely the case. The best you can do is offer support. If he refuses to take it, then that's his choice. Regardless, emotional support is never a bad thing. if he needs to talk it out of maybe a shoulder to lean on, make those options available. Hopefully, he'll come around in due time.
he most likely doesn't want you to see him in that state. he wants to have the appeal that he can take care of himself.
He mentioned earlier today that his throat glands are swollen, head and eye sockets hurt, hurts to swallow. Wouldn't he need antibiotics for something like this, which means he can't help himself without seeing doctor to get him a prescription? I don't get why some guys feel they need to act so invincible and immortal... no human is. We all feel sick at some point right?
it sounds like a reaction but he won't know until he gets checked up. all in all, you can't really make him do anything about it, you can only convince him to go.
He does have health insurance, he might as well use it.
what can I say, guys are sometimes stubborn and need to prove themselves lol.
I would say I'm helping you anyway. He could possibly want you to show that you really do care and really want to help. I would go against what he says (in a playful manner of course). Lol
Why do you care so much? You can't keep being such a flea to a man. He said no it's ok, let him be.
