Try to be flexible before hand. I recommend the Bruce sistaz on YouTube their videos are great
Show up early, it makes them think your driven, you care and your ambitious.
Have a good attitude, no one wants to work with a girl who complains the whole time
Workout beforehand also. Your going to need to have some stamina so jogging and Pilates are good (I recommend blogilates on YouTube)
Try learning dances on YouTube or cheers so that your more receptive to choreography
Don't be afraid to ask questions or to repeat things.
If the have conditioning work with girls who are already on the team so that they kind of have a an interest in you
And mostly have fun, because you'll do none of this if your not having fun

just go to tryouts and see if you are good enough to qualify. you should have a good idea of what it takes to be a cheerleader so focus on those talents and skills.
I think getting into ballet and/or gymnastics would be a good start to help develop flexibility and balance.

be annoying basically :-P
cheerleaders tend to be the most annoying girls from my experience... more girly... than girly :-/You can't develop flexibility, you have to be born with it. Just go and try out. They'll tell you if you're good enough/pretty enough as well
play ice hockey instead.
Take gymnastics.
