Why does my face looks so bloated?

I used to have a slim face with well defined cheek bones but i have recently noticed that my face looks so bloated and it's making me look ugly. This started like one or two weeks ago. I don't eat more than i used to, but on the contrary, i could say that i eat even less now and i'm defintely not fat. I have tried regularly washing my face with cold water but it doesn't seem to work. What's happening to me?

salt causes water retention. have you been eating a lot of fried, salty stuff?
drink loads of water. at least 9 litres
drink less alcohol
sleep for at least 7 hours, and not more than 8.5 hours
continue washing your face with cold water early in the morning... it should work

Could be that you don't drink enough water, your meals are high in fat, or you eat too much salt. Could be one, could be a combination of these.
