I'd like a nice firm butt like this
How long would it take for me to get those results? I'm already thin and toned everywhere else but my butt is sad
Use weights, if you do your sets to failure on each set (choose a weight that let's you do about 6-10 reps with good form before you have to stop the set--about 4 sets), then you'll be maximizing your workout, and you'll be able to do that muscle group once or twice a week. Keep up on a good diet (nutrition is about 90% of the battle, make sure you're eating enough!), and you'll see results in a few weeks or months, depending upon your muscle development.
Just to keep things in perspective, a guy trying to maximize his gains can probably gain about 10 lbs of muscle in a *year* without using steroids (less than that if he's already near his genetic limit). Keep a long term view, and just enjoy the process.
with any workout it takes a decent 3 months to REALLY see some good results. and you gotta commit. if you want a nice ass, hit the gym and get in that squat rack and fucking... SQUAT ;) weighted squats bruh. your body weight will only get you so far.

As with all things, it depends.
It would depend on what type of squat you're doing, with how much weight, how often, your genes, your diet, etc etc. There is no answer for everyone.
Do you have weights to squat with or are you going to the gym?
Also you need to do more than just squats!
I'm planning on doing all the different kinds of squats and lunges, I've tried making a habit of going and doing that at the gym with 15 lb. weights before but to be honest that's not something I see myself getting into the habit of, I prefer to just do it at home with my own bodyweight
Unfortunately body weight does NOT give you results. Your body is used to carrying itself. You need weight.
I did a ton of bodyweight squats and realized I was not getting anywhere so I bought some weights. They're a bit pricey but worth it. Check amazon and eBay. I recommend a kettle bell.
Lunges are good, so are donkey kicks. You'll need ankle weights!
she's right @asker, you need to do weighted squats. body weight will tone you up the most.
Yes, squats will help and if you are in a gym, they have specific machines for it. But it will also depend on genetics (bone structure beneath and ease to build-up muscle) and final fat layer that remains.

Any muscle growth is progress. Anything from 8-12 weeks depending on your exercise level. Eat your proteins and you'll be fine.
I love to eat granola bars and trail mixes does that count as protein?
Though they're protein in those (due to nuts), they're still mostly carbs. I suggest eating meat (chicken, fish, beef, pork) and eggs for your protein intake. 1.5grams of protein per bodyweight is ideal.
2 months, I think squats are something you can do everyday, you don't need breaks. Just be constantly *a little* sore, and in 2 months you'll have the results you want.
it took me two weeks but it depends on your body and how often you do it
Take the squat challenge. 😅
the first pic looks better basically!!! ;-)
