I would be scared of he-man crushing my just by hugging. :D
Yeah sadly people through out the years have been complaining about these kinds of things.
I honestly don't get how most were complaining about it. Honestly as a kid I never thought her body or looks was ever based on anything realistic. She was a doll of course she isn't real. Even little kids are smart enough to know that! Sure as a kid it's fun to imagine and fantasize about things. Still I'm sure most never took it seriously.
About He-man I'm sure most people are smart enough to know that's not really a realistic type look. I'm mean sure you can achieve that but why the hell would you? Unless your wanting to be a body builder. Still no man needs to look that way to get a woman. Honestly if a guy did look like that most women would be scared of their hugeness, lol.

I've never seen/heard of He-Man before but I get it they're painting unrealistic images into children's head.
But at the same time they're just dolls and cartoons... And we were kids and even as a kid we were smart enough to know that their physical appearance were unrealistic and only a fairy tale. We have mother's and fathers brothers and sisters neighbors teachers etc. We see how adults really look and we knew for the most part that none of us could ever look like that (at least until plastic surgery became popular).
Barbie is no more than a mind control tool used to influence girls how they should be and look. As they are developing they'll try to imitate Barbie. They'll become so worried about how they look that they forget about other things. Once as they become an adult they become a spoiled person.
Behaviors they picked up as a child will carry on to adulthood.
But at the same time we can't blame a doll or an item because a child has self-esteem issues or psychological issues. Its the job of the parents (and community) to guide, lead and make sure at the full extent that their children do not fall down the wrong path.
He-man, well he's the obvious positive role-model of the 2. I never watched the show or collected his toys but I'm aware of who he is.

My guess is that you think feminists (since they claim to want equality) should acknowledge, and abolish their hypocrisy, and double standards they have towards males because they seem to only pay attention to object to the unrealistic expectations of women, and not also to the unrealistic expectations of men, (according to what I've gathered from your captioned pictures) this in turn creates an inequal space because women's issues are the only thing they seem to be focusing on, leaving everyone else in the dark.

Toys are toys. And besides who wants to play with a fat doll?

Also who said being tall and skinny is unheathly? Like some people are born with tall and skinny genes. I guess everyone wants everyone to be fat which is extremely bad too. No men complain that he-man is not average bc the whole idea of this is stupid. Why can't people just drop it. Gosh.
I so see ur point. I think I'm going to use the he-man thin from now on wen someone says that.As much as feminists claim to be about equality for both issues they only really care about female issues and female objectication.
i won't stop trying to become He-Man until i die!!
who doesn't want to be huge bad ass and save people?
if anything it represents something to admire and aspire to!It just goes to show that "strong" independent feminists feel like they're victims of absolutely everything.
I really dont see why people get so wound up by toys
They are fun toys that kids love. Let them be.
I'm confused... What's the question?
