Would you ever ask your girlfriend how much she weighed?

I've gained 4 pounds since I started dating a guy a couple of months ago. I'm not happy about it but I know it will come off once the summer is over and I'm working on it. The combination of eating out more and having less time to exercise is part of it. He asked me recently how much I weighed. And mentioned if I was 9 pounds lighter I'd be half of his weight ( I would have a BMI under 18.5 at that weight meaning I'd be too skinny to model on a PAris runway under their new laws).

I was calm and everything but I'm feeling so bloated it kind of upset me. Men would you ask this? If so why?

I don't know maybe I'm weird but it doesn't bother me when people ask how much I weigh. I'm really content with my weight and my body because I work hard every single day for it. If it's so offensive when someone asks how much you weigh, then why don't you try to reach a weight that you're comfortable with?

My boyfriend asked me and I wasn't offended in anyway. I guessed his weight pretty much. Don't over think it to much. You are just being pedantic about the small things when you need to focus on the bigger picture.

No I don't think things like body measurements should be asked. Physically girls seem most concerned with weight while guys are most concerned with height.

That's like asking a guy his penis size and girth or how much money he makes--such an intrusive and rude question to many people.

Yeppers that's why I posed the question. He's really analytical and sometimes lacks tact but the motivation behind it is harmless so I write is off as a cute quark most the time.

I gave him an honest answer about how I'm 4 pounds over my target my current weight and that I try not to dwell on it and let my jeans be the judge. It sucks because it is so hot where I live that I tend to gain a few pounds during July and Aigust which is exactly when you want to be at your slimmest.

at the same time one of my deal breakers in a LTR is if a guy can't handle me gaining 5 pounds. People age, have babies and life happens. If 4 pounds is a big deal when I'm telling you I've been the same weight plus or minus 5 for years and you can't handle the extra hips then it must mean you don't see much else in me than my looks. I don't know

heezus this is such a small issue. that's not really a reason to be upset over because i doubt he meant it in a rude way especially if it's your boyfriend of a few months

All the time. The thing is, I m a trainer and understand privacy boundaries and don't exploit people. I ask to see if they're fine with their weight and if not to give them tips

Weight is just a number, if my girlfriend were on the heavy side I won't find anything new by asking her how much she weighs

Hmmm yeah I guess if I was at my normal weight I would have gladly answered. 4 pounds is noticeable on my frame but I'm stepping up the cardio.
