I'm thinking of it for my 40th birthday.
Plastic surgery yay or nay?
I'm thinking of it for my 40th birthday.
Depending on the circumstance, it can be a yay or nay. For clear health purposes, usually always a yay. If a person has very serious insecurities about something noticeably and potentially problematic, and it can be ameliorated by going under the knife... provided that he/she can afford it comfortably and it isn't known to be so risky a procedure, I would be understanding. I would be wary if a person was getting multiple serious procedures though, as I'd think it's deep rooted insecurities that needs counseling vs plastic surgery. In that case, it could be the Body Dysmorphic Disorder that needs attention.
It certainly is best and cheapest to accept what you've got and make enhancements within reasonable limits to look good, but I understand that some have been "stuck" with prominent features that have gotten in the way of self-confidence and may have caused them to endure a degree of bullying. Perhaps aesthetics is an important feature of their job. Again, if the person can afford it, is safe about it, and there aren't major risks associated with it, I see it no different than the idea behind doing makeup, dying hair, styling hair, wearing expensive form enhancing clothes, shaving, waxing, etc. What if a person's problem aesthetic area can only be corrected with cosmetic surgery and procedures? It's very easy to judge when one doesn't have to live with the same problem.
But if it's something that isn't prominent, I would encourage the person to work with what they've got and choose less demanding alterations if anything. In that case, the person is likely being too harsh a critic to himself/herself.
Fabulous opinion thank you
Thanks!! What's your view and what plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery were you looking into if I may ask? In the near future I want to get fraxel laser resurfacing for some acne scarring left behind from 15 years of acne and get laser hair removal one area at a time. I just need to make sure to do my research on the professional conducting the procedures and make sure they use an appropriate laser for my skin tone.
I would love to do both of those and possibly some botox. I don't have a problem with plastic surgery unless people start drastically trying to change who they are. I think it's a little funny that there's such a negative stigma tied to it.
I've seriously considered getting a boob job.
Any plastic surgery I would ever get would only be on things I'm not able to fix myself by doing hard work. I mean, life happens and no matter how much time and dedication you put into perfecting your body, it's going to change. That I understand.
But like with a boob job, you can't control how big or small you want your boobs to be by eating a certain way and doing work outs. To an extent, yes, but not to the extent that PS can give you.
So yay for things like that, nay for things like tummy tucks, etc. when one can do it all their own.
You have fabulous breasts! Don't touch them!
I'm ok with plastic surgery if done right, and it's usually in a lot of Asian countries where the results turn out great.

Eeewww so sad!
If the person really doesn't like a feature on their face and wants to change that, I would understand. That feature may not necessarily be unattractive though. They may have an irrational perception. I think that can lead to a more negative side of plastic surgery where the person thinks they are improving their looks when most would disagree.
If the person wants to get it to maintain their looks and they have the money, I don't see an issue with that. I think that's a bonus of having 💵! I do think a lot of people are likely subconsciously jealous of that. If they want a face lift, breast lift, getting rid of weightloss skin, a hair transplant or something like that, I see no issue. They're just trying to look similar to what they use to.
Exactly how I feel!
1. Forget the taboo part for one
2. If it were for improvement yes I'd so it but not just aesthetic improvement on a large scale where in a few years it winds up being a bane than a boon
3. I won't screw around with what is natural and good in me to get something that I think is better
4. It all depends on where and why you want to go under the knife. One has to think about constant updates and maintenance
5. Moreover, imagine you have perfect chemistry with someone and he / she realizes that you've done surgery. You never know it may be a put off for him / her :)
6. I vote 'D' - Depends on various factors if I will do it or not. I'm not adverse to it but don't plan on it for sure :)
You make some very good points. I love your insight into things!😽
Thank you for both your up vote and awesomely kind words beautiful girl :) <3 you keep me encouraged :D

I'm ok for reconstructive efforts but I don't really like fake. Especially boobs. Fake boobs are a complete turn off to me.
Its like a fake purse. Someone got it for show but I know its not real and the fake part makes any perceived value worth nothing to me.
Give me small and real any day of the week.
Awesome thanks!
If it can improve ones flaws which really affects their confidence then i'd have it. But if you do it because everyone else does it then i would not recommend it.
I don't have pretty teeth so i want to get surgery for that but maybe after few years
Yeah a good smile is really important
as long as you are happy. and as long as you really want to get it even if the risk of side effect. then go for it
Obviously reconstructive surgery after an accident or something like a mastectomy would be a very big Yay! Also, some aging processes can be very unkind, leaving terribly distractive wrinkles and loose skin. Simple procedures in these cases can make a person look much better and improve their feelings about themselves. But I have never been a fan of such things as implants to increase boob or butt size.
And can't imagine what a beautiful woman like yourself would want to change.
I think I need to bring you home with me! Then I'd be smiling all the time!
I've had plastic surgery last year.
On my hands to release the scar tissue that was pulling my fingers together. I had surgery done when I was 6 after getting 3rd degree burns caused by electrocution.
My hands grew, scar tissue didn't, hence surgery.
Other than that, I'd probably consider it, if my face became very droopy as I aged.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Was it very painful?
When I got the initial burns, shock took care of all the pain. And I had no pain after both surgeries. : D
I plan too. And I don't give a fuck what other people do not like about plastic surgery. Breast enhancements for me, I would like to feel more lady like, I feel inadequate. The size right now, eh so so but I would like my body to be in proportion to everything else.
My friend felt the same. She's way happier with hers.
My mum got hers done and she isn't afraid of walking around braless lol
It makes me think damn if I was comfortable with my boobs like that I would do the same thing. But right now, I just feel inadequate.
Were you looking into getting something done? Or just curious what people thought?
Mostly curious what people thought. I'd consider something small in a few years.
The amazing thing is they're starting to use real fat for breast enhancement. Technology progresses every year.
I knew someone once who wanted to get boobs smoothed in her 40s if they become wrinkly. It honestly wouldn't make a difference to me but I can see why you'd do it if you have anything above a c cup. If you're planning on having facial stuff done in your 40s, don't. You're just gonna look like a lizard. Women in their 40s can be really sexy when they show confidence and class. So if anything revolve your makeup and dressing habits around that if you're worried about ageing.
Really great thoughts thanks.
You're beautiful! Why would you ever need it? :o
I say to each their own. Whether it be for health or aesthetic reasons, it is that person's choice. As long as it makes them happy, that is what counts. However, I do not know if I could do it. I'm not a fan of needles and such.
Thanks so much and I totally agree with you on the needles!💋
You're welcome! :) Yessss, needles scare me so much. I avoid them at all costs, haha.
Personally I'd never consider it. Its a bit like cheating in a exam for me. Since if you do that and get a degree etc. You can't feel proud of it since its not your brain that did the work.
Similarly, if I get compliments on my looks due to the plastic surgery then I can't feel good about it since I paid to get those compliments. If that makes sense?
Makes perfect sense
Thankyou :)
Yea, I'd definetely do it. I don't see why people look so much down upon it, and I certainly don't see why we praise "natural" so much. Chemo therapy isn't "natural", natural would be dying from cancer. Fertility treatments aren't "natural", natural would be remaining childless. Cars aren't natural, computers aren't natural and McDonalds food isn't natural. Most things in our modern world is not natural, so why the fuck do we have to be?
I love this thought!😀
Nah I came out of the womb flawless ;P
Seriously though.. I really can't think of anything I'd want to change..
Oh red I already know of your perfection! Don't change a thing 😀
I have never thought about having any kind of plastic surgery, and I don't think I ever would unless something happened where I required it to correct a burn or a scar... That kind of thing.
I generally think that having plastic surgery is ok if it's done for the right reasons... Like the reasons I mentioned, or if it's done solely for yourself and it's going to make you feel better about yourself. I feel that doing it just to please someone else is probably not the right reasons for doing it, and of course there are risks involved... But if it's just for you, and is something that you've thought about and wanted for a while, then I think it's definitely worth considering!
I should add that looking at your profile picture, I see no reason why you would need this kind of 'treatment', but if it's going to make you feel better about yourself, then that's the main consideration here! :)
I vote D: No
A person can not want something or disagree with something and not think it's freaking nuts.
True lol
i wouldn't want to, even though i had thought about how much better id look if i got my nose done like Michael Jackson before he turned white. But id rather stay natural. What do you want plastic surgery for? Oh and i love your new hair by the way :)
Michael Jackson before he turned white... rofl!
I'm just thinking small stuff like botox, getting older you know?
That's just a wig I got for Halloween but thank you!
oh man.. botox? i hope it doesn't ruin you.. because nearly every girl who I've seen with botox has looked kinda weird to me =/
You know Michael Jackson had vitiligo, right? Google what that looks like. It was either accept sharply contrasting white areas on his skin which has take a serious mental toll on people who have this condition or get procedures done to knock out all his melanocytes. There was no way he could make all his skin pure brown/black skinned again, because vitiligo is a disease that knocks out your pigment producing cells altogether.
Just for small lines. Not lip injections or anything.
What kind of plastic surgery are you planning on getting? I would get a tummy tuck for sure and also a breast lift. Maybe even a possible reduction on them. I plan for all this in the next few years.
Things I'd consider would be botox, possible breast lift in a few years (I'm fine now) lipo in my thighs... face lift in maybe 10 years. I'm not sure lol
Well I wouldn't consider it nuts. It's very tempting to alter a "weak spot" to perfection.
The only problem is where does it stop. My friend underwent plastic surgery for her breasts. Now she scrutinizes each minute aspect of herself because she knows she can "fix" it.
So I guess go for it if you think that's the only part of your body you would like to change. Just don't get sucked into the trap that everything else needs to go too.
And by the way, why would you of all people need it? Spend that dough on a nice vacation or something!!!
I have nothing against it as long as it doesn't cause other injury to ones health like some of these people get implants and end up with infections, suffering long-term
health concerns. Some guys get penile implants and it's really a high risk all it does is cause other problems and from what i hear some implants got be removed and men are left with permanent damage to their penis. Myself I'm happy with what i have if it doesn't work then I'll get some Viagra not worried about it
Penil implants sound soooo scary!
Yeah i do agree
I'd never get plastic surgery, I'm 100% natural and plan to stay that way. If people don't like the way I look when I'm 100%, than they can kiss my but if I'm getting plastic surgery just to look fake and please their eyes.
media.giphy.com/media/130HITF1ekbUhq/giphy.gif
I'm sure you'd please my eyes without it. Thanks for making me laugh.
I don't like it. if there is something really wrong, sure. but not just like that. there are many things I don't like about my body but I wouldn't get plastic surgery. and it breaks my heart every time I see a girl get bigger boobs... :(
but of course everyone is allowed to do as they want, it's their body, so yeah...
I agree with a lot of that. I definitely wouldn't do implants!
I really don't understand why girls get bigger boobs. of course, most people prefer bigger ones and having small boobs makes them insecure. but I'd take smaller, natural boobs over big fake ones any day and most guys I know feel the same (there was a vote a few days ago about that, it wasn't even close lol). Their shape usually doesn't look as good and they don't feel as nice. That's why I don't understand it. It might look better while running around in clothes, but as soon as you take them of it feels like a downgrade, at least for me personally. And not only that, there are multiple risks involved doing it and it's of course very expensive.
Of course, if you have saggy boobs or other problems and you lift them and have to add implants to make it look decent, then that's a completely different story.
but I'm not a woman so maybe I'm just ignorant
I think you're spot on. 😀
Honestly, I think though insecurities are influenced by seeing "perfect" bodies glorified on TV or in real life, more of it probably has to do with hearing negative criticism about having the opposite feature. So in this case, people making fun of small breasts. The reason I think this is because a lot of boosts in self-esteem can come from hearing someone compliment or praise the opposite, though deep-rooted insecurities often fall back into the slump. Plus, nobody wants to feel inadequate or defective. I don't know if I made any sense lol.
I agree with @coconutelixer people say "we like natural" but then go on to praise and oogle the most unnatural women. It sends very mixed signals.
What one does to themselves is not my problem and I won't frown upon it.
If it brings up your self-esteem then go for it.
My self esteem is great... would you get any done?
You don't look like you'll start balding lol
Haha I've seen other pics of you, that's no toupe lol
@BelleGirl21 Listen to him, I agree with everything he said, including the balding thing lol
Yay!!! if you been disfigured after a mastectomy for women like where they make a reconstructed Brest or for burn victims where they get skin transplants on the face to regain normal appearance.
But you belle are flawless what would you want plastic surgery for and remember the fails that happen in plastic surgery.😟😟
Good points
