I went to cosmetology school and while working in a salon I decided to try and go blonde and had black hair, my coworker wouldn't just bleach my hair so we did color-bleach-color and my hair was fried a few months later I thought it was healthy enough so I got a perm and it destroyed my hair and I just cut it all off. It's been close to 8 years and my hair is just now past midway down my back. Hair will be healthier and grow faster if you keep it healthy. For a while I'd get my hair trimmed every 8-10 weeks and it grew pretty quick but I'd get maybe 1/2 inch off in these trims like just the very very ends. Be sure to get trims, limit heat exposure or use a thermal spray and don't sleep with your hair in a pony tail, causes breakage.
