Sure, I like guys who are muscular, and I can give some reasons and limitations to my answer.
I'm an athletic person, so body image is a big thing to me. I love to run and compete in sports, and during the season, I'm constantly working towards the toned abs and legs and fit, healthy body. So yes, I like guys that also take care of their body or work out, or guys who are athletic, because I find that attractive. Now, don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against guys that don't focus on athleticism- but guys who work out have a little plus in my book.
HOWEVER, I'm not a fan of body buliders, because I have a personal limit when it comes to muscal. So, this isn't something I like:

But when a guy just makes sure he's in shape and cares about his health (doesn't smoke/do drugs/eat only junk all the time/etc.), even just a little, I think that's great:

Maybe girls are slowly beginning to find lean guys as more attractive than meatheads not solely because of how either type of guy looks, but due to the emergence of the gymbro mentality. I'd prefer to date a guy who acts and speaks in ways appropriate to his actual age versus constantly asking if I'm 'mirin' his roid-fuelled biceps/traps.

Well tall is naturally attractive.
But I actually like muscular. If I wanted a 6'5 120 pound guy or better known as a toothpick I'd date a toothpick.
I'll admit my boyfriend is tal and skinny but he hasn't filled out his muscles yet. He has no fat and is all muscle
I don't personally like muscular, I do like the tall and skinny guys and I'm not entirely sure why. I just don't think muscles look good? I prefer the smooth stomach on the skinny guys than the way muscles look, all bumpy.
As a guy who is tall and skinny, at least when shape...
No. A significant minority do like tall and skinny, most like decently muscular, and a small minority like jacked up.
most like something in the range of 'swimmer build'.
There are some cultural/demographic factors here... americans tend to go for jacked up a little more than Europeans (lets say they both like football players, but that means a different thing to each!) and Asian girls like big muscles the least. Within the u. s. you might find differences by demographic, but you will find fans of all types everywhere.
If you're tall and thin with some abs, swimmer's build, or jacked up, you won't have big problems finding women who think your body is hot as fuck.
Can't speak for whatever convoluted cross section of people are represented on here, but I can share my personal experience as a young 6'2 American man. When I was skinny (~155lbs), women weren't instantly attracted to me. Now I'm very muscular (~200lbs), and I'm often approached by women. But it's worthwhile to remember here that women aren't some homogenous mass of hive clones all with the same preferences. Every individual has their own personal nuance and set of desires. Still, I would have to conclude that, broadly speaking, aesthetic muscularity in men is physiologically attractive to women.

most of the girls on here respond like that.
That's not the whole reason. They like muscular guys, if he's the frat boy/from family with $ type. Obvious reasons there. The rest... they like these emasculated wimpy, Boy George high pitched talking ones who wear t-shirts 3 sizes too small, ratty skinny jeans who are "artistic," because he's more likely to be "in touch with his feelings." Translation-he's not a campus rape/domestic violence threat that all this endless propaganda on tv, magazines and campuses have told these females that the rest of us are.
That guy in the picture you posted @hmtr23 is not skinny. He looks pretty buffed to me. This is skinny.
fitandstrongdads.com/.../skinny-guy.jpgNot anymore. At least girls nowadays definitely don't, they're into men who resemble women much more than an actual man.
Loads of hair products, long giraffe necks, exposed clavicles, zero muscle mass, no body hair, feminine mannerisms, etc.
You get the picture I'm painting right? The problem is that these women dont understand what fitness is. They have fallen into a sedentary lifestyle. They have no sense of aesthetics. I too didn't know what fitness was until i went to the gym and worked out and dieted and all that. Now i understand how good it feels to work out and i wouldn't date a girl that doesn't like fitness. Real fitness that is not that dad bod type of shit.
When you say muscular I think they usually assume you mean a huge bodybuilder type. They don't tend to find those attractive because they look unnaturally big. But most of them do like muscular men. I see some of these women say they like slim men then when they post pics of guys they like they're all quite athletic looking and have some muscle, they just aren't huge.
I like big chubby men... they don't have to have a six pack to be sexy... there is something sexy about a man that's big... We all have different taste... muscles don't impress me. it would take more than that.
I am a strong built semi midget. I don't have a choice in the matter, do I? I'll make the best of what I got, though and so far, haven't seen any women treat me with "disgust" or "distaste" because of how I look. So what does it matter, what a handful of girls think?
cause those girls like girls themselves 😂😂😂. but nah i like a muscular man for myself. someone preferably bigger than myself and i think i've got him. physically at least.
i dont really dig skinny guys. i mean i could be attracted to one but it isn't my preference. i prefer a muscular footballer type
With the attempt to feminize men, it's appears its slowly shifting around from the liking of muscular men it seems.
Muscles can be seen as a sign of strength, motivation, and willpower.
A trait of an alpha male for a number of reasons.
In saying that I still think most (at least in my life) definitely do.a lot of them are looking for a guy that shows he cares about other things besides his body. not JUST his body. A lotta girls wanna go somewhere special for Valentines Day. Not be stuck at the gym cuz their meathead boyfriend can't miss his workout. :D
I like kinda chubby they are good a cuddling. The guy I like he is really tall and kinda chubby and he can pick me up with one hand with I'm only 100 pounds
I like guys with some muscles on them 😍 It's hot as long as it isn't too much 😅 Skinny... uhm... should be okay... I guess...
I would say they prefer fit and muscular in a way that is not monstrous. There is a balance to things and a lot of guys go overboard and crazy.
I like tall and skinny, muscular, a tiny bit of pudge - it's all cool beans.
I like thick muscular. Not a gym build, I'm not a big abs fan.
I prefer slim and/ or slightly muscular (like just defined, athletic). But I like really muscular. And I don't like this word "skinny" (it sounds like the person has very low body fat and muscle mass, is unhealthy).
I don't know why I like that I just do, some muscle thrown in there won't hurt though
I only could understand it if the girl was a gym person herself. Some girls are couch potatoes and don't work out yet expect the guy to be ripped.
