This guy he says he likes athletic girls do you think there's still a chance for me?

I don't play any collegiate sports nor do I play any for fun (I'm not gifted in being co-ordinated) but I'm still on the leaner side and I have a nice body (I workout multiple times a week). Do I have a chance?

Guess it depends on him, his definition of athletic and what his deal breakers/makers are.

Some people mean fit or slim when they say athletic. It is politer than saying "I don't date fat girls". But, some guys actually do want a girl who plays sports. Also, we all have our must-haves or no-ways in dating and they usually combine a variety of things to decide whether we want to date or have a relationship with someone.

I would say you should flirt and befriend this guy and see if he shows interest and asks you out.

If you work out I am sure you do, when talking about girls "athletic" is a body type, it has nothing to do with you actually playing sports. Also watch aout for guys calling girls "thick", "scrawny", etc.. Those are not allways negative and can just be a way a guy decribes a body type.

i think the only reason a guy would say that is to basically say "i like girls who are in shape". it's not like he's saying that because he wants to play sports with you. so yea I think you're ok

From another guy's perspective I agree totally with this answer. Most guys do just say that because they want a woman in shape. If you are willing to learn to play sports with him it will greatly multiply the time and fun you can have together though. Don't let your coordination hold you back it can be learned.
