I have a viral infection in my throat making my left gland extremely swollen and my right only a little. I can't really eat anything, but I feel really hungry! Also I am a vegetarian. I have tried eating a veggie burger (didn't work out), ice cream (it works the best but still stings and it doesn't really fill you up), mashed potatoes (it's soft, but it stings a lot on the way down), and lastly pudding (absolutely did not work, I don't know if it's the ingredients in pudding but it stung so bad!). I also am drinking like 5 22 oz. water bottles a day! I did go to the doctor and they said soft foods, but that's not helpful! Thanks, in advance.
Eugh, I've had the exact same thing. It's horrible isn't it.
But essentially I've been living of warm, not hot, but not cooled, soup. Seems to do the trick.
Yogurt too - that should be pretty soothing.
Warm drinks as well - like warm lemon, or herbal/fruit drinks, they'll help.
