- what do I need to bring?
- is it a good workout?
-i'm not so flexible, can I still try it and succeed at it?
.. basically, let me know everything I need to know please, I'd really appreciate it :D !
Check the website of the place your going, some places don't have mats for you to use (you can get one at Dicks for like $30, kinda pricy but it'll last awhile). That's really all you need, if the workout requires blocks or a strap or something (option, depends on where you are) they should have those there. It is a good workout, not so much for cardio but for building up strength and toning it's great. I alternate between doing yoga and going running it's working great for me. But it all depends on what you do. I think the hardest poses are standing poses and balances, that's where I tend to break a sweat but anything where I'm sitting or laying on the ground I find relaxing and and really good for flexibility. I did gymnastics when I was younger and I thought right away I'd be able to go back to putting my foot on my head and doing straddles while resting my head on the floor...that totally didn't happen. You don't need to be that flexible to start, just go as far as you can without pushing yourself (if you push yourself you risk hurting yourself so only go as far as it feels good...you'll know when it doesn't). The longer you do it the more flexible you'll become but it takes time. You can't fail at doing yoga, almost all the poses can be altered to be comfortable and effective for everyone, no one starts out doing this:

Stretch before going or you'll cramp
Bring a yoga mat, hand towel, and water
I recommend socks because it gives you better grip on the mat but barefeet work too
Wear comfortable pants ie yoga pants and wear a long enough shirt
I don't recommend a thong try boyshorts unless you want a major wedgie
its a good wrokout I love it but most important its a stress relieved
All moves in yoga range beginner to advanced it your not as felxible now you will be by the end of the next few weeks
Oh try to grab a spot in the back unless you want guys to look at your ass when your doing a yoga move like downward facing dog I know some girls aren't comfortable with this si its up to you
HAVE FUN and don't forget to RELAX :) good luck!
Be yourself be natural.. The harder you try to be cautious the more others will notice

Well you can always try it even if you are not good at it :)
you will need a yoga mat. Some places provide it but most don't and I always just bring my own anyway.
a bottle of water
towel
tie your hair up
comfortable clothes - yoga pants, a tank or sports bra
be sure to stretch before
don't eat a full meal too soon before because persoanlly I feel like throwing up in some positions if I'm too full
Main thing to know is that unless you are doing the advanced level yoga classes anything and everything you are asked to do can be modified to suit your fitness and experience level. The only thing you need to work on getting the hang of ASAP is breathing normally and slowly while bent into awkward positions. The positions they sometimes have you do can interfere with your breathing if you're breathing through your chest and not your diaphragm, which is something most people do.
All these girls pretty much covered it, but you can get a yoga mat for a good price at walmart and or target.
