Not yet, but working in an Oral Surgery Clinic I already know I'm going to have to at some point. They're pretty impacted right now and sitting right on top of my nerve so I'm going to wait for them to erupt a little more to minimize possible nerve damage.
Whether or not yours will be a problem depends on a lot of different factors. Do you have room for your teeth to fully erupt and be kept clean? This the number one problem for most people. They assume that since they can see their teeth that they're getting clean which is rarely the case. A lot of times you can't reach behind the tooth, or there's large tissue pockets that trap food due to crowding. Another thing to consider is if they malposed (growing in crooked), or if there's any notable pathology around the teeth on your Xray (your doctor should know/tell you).
To sum up- if they come in straight, and you have room BEHIND the teeth to keep them clean AND you have great oral hygiene- then there shouldn't be an issue to keep them

Yep, I had mine taken out when I was 16. Some people never have problems with them or need them removed, but your dentist will tell you if you need them taken out. They usually do x-rays of your teeth when you go in for a check-up. If they're causing you pain, and/or they're impacted [coming in crooked, will crowd and push the rest of your teeth if you keep them], they'll usually set you up with an oral surgeon to arrange removal. Mine never caused me any pain, but I'd just gotten braces off the year before and my wisdom teeth were impacted. Removing them was cheaper and less painful than making all the money spent on my braces a complete waste.
A lot of people that get their wisdom teeth removed don't need to.. dentists are making BANK on recommending people to get them removed constantly but honestly until you get an xray that's obvious enough that even YOU can see you need to get them out or until they start causing constant pain issues(they might hurt when they first come through.. that's not a reason to get them removed), don't worry about it.
Personally I have one right now that only partially came through several months ago and since then I have had 2 infections that cause quite some pain for several days.. I had to constantly numb the area for a week or so. If it happens one or 2 more times I'll probably end up getting it removed. However, I know it's because I didn't brush for a full day or 2 when I usually brush twice a day, but the fact that it's only partially through makes it MUCH easier for it to get infected anyways.
Haven't had any of the others removed either yet.

Yes I have had mine removed- I had them cut out of my jaw at 14 so I could facilitate my having jaw surgery the following year (I had an overbite and needed to correct it otherwise my teeth would have rubbed each other, wearing away and ultimately falling out).
I got all of mine out. At the same time. It hurt like hell..!
In my case the doc told me that if I didn't got mine out it would've damage my other tooths so I had to. But each case is different there're people that never get them out and their teeth are perfectly fine.. You just have to go to your doctor and find out what's your case.. Good Luck!- u
I never had any to begin with, actually. My jaw is large enough to accommodate them, but I just wasn't born with them.
You're only going to get your wisdom teeth out if they don't grow in properly, i.e. they grow in sideways (impacted), they are fused to the bone so the can't grow, your mouth is too small, or they cause problems after they've grown in all the way. But if they are just fine, you won't have a reason to have them removed. Yeah, all four at a time. First time that I knew I got surgery (first time was to get my tonsils out, was a kid so I don't remember it). Bad time when I woke up, my throat hurt like hell, something went wrong with some tube, when I woke up I didn't know where I was so I panicked, started hitting my bed and freaked out :') haha
yes and I had 5 of them taken out
seriously
and before anyone says I'm lying let me explain how it works
while most people have 4 of them while I had those plus a small extra one behind one of them I think it was the left lower side is where the extra one(plus the one that is supposed to be there) was and yes I am serious about this
and I doubt I am the only one that this kind of thing happened tooi only got one out of 4 out because it was being a bitch. it wasn't too bad at all now that I look back, a root canal was worse
if its not hurting you you can keep them, but if theyre growing at an angle or impacted you need to take them out as they can shift your teeth and cause infectionI had 6 removed and I'm so glad I did. One of them in the back was half covered with my gums, so whenever I chewed something hard in the back, I'd also be chewing my gum.
Mine isn't fully it, and it won't come fully out either.
No, it it is not really a problem as far as I know, apart from some aches there but nothing more than that. :)I still have mine. My dentist recommended it a while back but I said no. This was 8.5 years ago...never had a problem with them. I mean if your body didn't need it, it wouldn't grow it.
Nope. I only had one but I think I may eventually because I`m worried it will overcrowd my teeth and push the necessary ones out.
i took mine out jus in case they wouldn't bother me in the future. all 4 and one day, I had a great dentist so thr wasn't much after pain
Nope. all mine came in without even really noticing. My siister had to get hers out though, didn't look fun.
yes I got my bottom ones out..
but I got mine out because they were bothering me.. my top ones are completely grown but they don't bother me so I don't need to get them taken out..
so if urs don't bother you I think your fine..i have just recently got my last one grown. and I still have all 4 of them.
I did get mine out - all 4 of them. They were impacted and started hurting, so they had to go.
I don't think I have any, at least yet. I went to the dentist like in November and they never told me anything about if I had my wisdom teeth or if I needed them out lol
Yes. Exactly 2 weeks ago :O
And it still hurts :(i didnt, don't and will never have wisdom teeth.
I don't think I have them.
Yep I had all 4 of mine cut out. Not fun
