What are some easy-to-do butt exercises you'd recommend? How many reps should I do every day, and
how soon should I notice a difference in that part of my body compared to doing exercises for other parts of my body?
I agree with benos4752. Running, biking and walking helps. But if you want to tone your butt, there are small things you can do to tone her.
One is, (and I have no clue what its called) But lye on the floor on your back with your legs bent at the knees to where your feet/heels are in front of your butt. Then lift your lower body using your legs, this will tone your legs, butt and abs at the same time.
While you are sitting in a chair, this one is simple but you might not want to do this while others are around, it may look sort of awkward. But there is no name for this because it is not a recognized excersize. But while sitting, flex your butt muscles and sort of lift yourself up with your butt. This will tone by flexing and working the butt muscles.
But all in all, general excersizes will burn fat and you will lose weight in your butt and everywhere. But it sounds like you want to tone too, so this is a couple good ways. General rule is burn twice as much calories per day as you take in. Good Luck.
Running gets muscle, walking burns fat. Stair exercises are great for the glutes, like in my gym I work at we have "Stairmasters". You can do lunges with some dumbells or you can squat. They are all good.
Do an amount of reps that you feel comfortable with and you want to be tired because these are all kind of cardio. Usually people exercise in slow motions and take about 8-12 reps each set. And usually 3 sets. Just get the weight so its right for you so you feel it after 8, but don't strain yourself.
You will notice if you keep it up after a week, or at least you think you will and you will gain confidence and keep it up! Get that butt :)
Believe it or not and people don't but shape ups. You know the shoes. I wear them exclusively for play, exercise and work. Took about a week to see something and four months to see real results, but two years down the road I am a big girl with a very round butt that does not jiggle. Women I know actually poke it just to see. And yes without flexing not a single jiggle. I hate exercising that makes me sweat (that's why I prefer swimming and yoga) and I walk around a lot at my job. Seriously they tone your legs and butt. I get compliments on the days I wear skirts for how amazing my legs look. They are pricey ( around 90-125 a pair and I own three to four) but the results speak for themselves. Plus they are so comfy.
I wore a pair of those shoes for well over a year, and I never saw any of the differences that were supposed to come with them, in my butt or legs, and I was frequently losing my balance with them. Many others had similar problems. That's why they were discontinued.
No you can still buy shape ups by sketchers. I think the reebok ones were though. You gotta wear them constantly though. The ones I wear make it like you are walking through sand constantly not having to balance. Like I said people I don't even know ask me what my secret is.
Squats and lunges! Do like 3 or 4 sets of 15 to start out... make sure when doing squats you keep your legs a bit more than shoulder width apart and toes pointed out, keep your back straight and go down till your thighs are parallel with the floor. you will feel it burn! This works your thighs and butt! Lunges are great also, just keep your back straight and if you're not used to them use a mirror to make sure your form is good so you don't pull any muscles.. as you get stronger you can add dumbbells and hold them at your sides as you do the exercises. If you do these consistently you will notice results within a few weeks. Hope this helps! :)

lay on your back and lift your bottom up so your shoulders are on the floor but your knees are up. Then thrust up while tightening your buttocks. Do this for 3 minutes straight while varying in speeds. My boyfriend says my behind looks more lifted.
Squats & lunges
I'd do 2-3 sets of 8-12 reps, 2-3x a week. You don't want to do them everyday, because you muscles need to recover

Toning doesn't work! Actually it was a word developed to get people into the gym. What you have to do is workout with weights and do a lot of cardio that uses you biggeat muscles aka. Your upper legs. Doing something like running or spinning/biking. But you have to lift weights and do cardio. Also do not just do ecercises where you feel like you are working out your but... you have to work out your whole body.
Zumba! I love it! So fun and it helps you to become more coordinated lol also tighten your butt do/hold squats whenever you can, in the shower, when your brushing your teeth, while doing your hair. You get the idea XD
Running is always good for toning. In the gym, lunges using a medicine ball, floor exercises with the medicine ball would also work for you.
Squats (front especially, but back and zercher work too). Deadlifts. Glute-Ham Raises. Swings. Step-ups.
If you're clumsy this could be dangerous, but I toned my butt by walking up and down the stairs in my house for 15 minutes a day. It burns tons of calories too because you're working the biggest muscles in your body.
Take a bar over your head and squat. Do as many fo those as you can.
Eat less train more. You can't really focus on just one part or your body. When you become more fit, your body as a whole becomes more fit.
biking, walking...
