Guys - He goes MIA for a few days but then is super into me after - normal?

Every few weeks, he gets kinda MIA and drops off the radar for a few days. I won't see him for like 3 or 4 days, but he'll still text me randomly throughout the day, not to hang out but just to check in I guess. I always fear its the end, but then he'll be super into me when I finally see him again and things will go back to the way they were before. It happens probably like once a month.

Is this normal? Do guys just need a few days of space for no reason sometimes, and does it mean they lost interest in you or that they really just need alone time and still care about you?

It confuses me! Please give me some insight!

we don't wanna talk to you every day. we don't wanna see you every day. we need some space. we need time to relax, reflect, hang out with guys, etc... and 3 or 4 days really isn't that much. and after a few days we come back in your life full of energy ready to bang your brains out.

thanks, that makes me feel a lot better. I guess 3 or 4 days always feels longer to girls than to guys... but you're totally right, when I really think about it it's not that long! I do have a question though - is this time apart usually because we've done something wrong, or something else?

in general - not really. it's just the way we operate. it's in our nature.

of course, there can be certain reasons that determine if a guy will be 4 days off the grid or just 3 days - for example how intense the relationship is or what team is playing tonight.

its completely normal and healthy for your relationship. It's not for "no reason," he's focusing on other parts of his life which are also important. If he never had a break from you he'd eventually get grumpy and irritable.

I wouldn't call texting you every day MIA, may be busy, having various issues, or tired from work and just wants to relax.
