I'm having a fever and headache. My boyfriend wants to hang out. But it took one hr to get to his place I'm too sick for that long travel. He said he had work to do so he couldn't come to see me. I said I couldn't go to see you, it's OK that you have work to do, I can take care of myself. He insisted me going to his place. I'm from a different culture, I'm just wondering if this is a normal thing in the u.s. that a girl goes such a long way to reach a guy? even when she is sick? or does it mean the guy is selfish or doesn't really care?

He's being selfish. You're sick, you're an hour away but he says he wants to see you so in his mind you're supposed to drop everything, f*** being sick and visit him when he says.

You may be from a different culture, but he's still being a jerk. He doesn't really care because if he knows you're sick, why wouldn't he just want to let you get some rest? Or come see you himself? If he has some work to do then why does he even want to see you right now at all? Shouldnt he be doing work?

he is being selfish here,u are sick you do not need to be driving,so tell him you would love to see him but you are sick,if he cares he will drive to you even if he has to work,big deal he has to get up earler and go to work from your house.You should be worth the extra mile

Goodness, what kind of guy is that? O Lord. That's selfish and that's a red flag also.. don't know if you see it..
