Three Rings, Three Promises: A Look At What All Rings Mean

Hello again GaGers, here is the follow up myTake furthering on into the types of rings and what they mean. If you didn't get a look at the first MyTake you may find it here:

Most of us recognize the "Engagement Ring" and "Wedding Band", but there is one before both of those. The Promise Ring.

The Promise Ring : When it comes to first getting one of these, remember it is a definite promise that one day, they'll propose. However, now is not the time and they are quite not ready to take that big step.
Think of The Promise Ring as the "Past".

The Engagement Ring: This signifies they have kept their promise, they know they are ready and "I Will" is furthering that promise in following through. This is now "Present".

The Wedding Band: This ring is the final steps and a reminder that "I Do" from that day forth is an eternal promise to love you until their very last breath. This is now your "Future" together.

In furthermore, if one were ever curious about a three stoned ring, now you know what the three stones are for. It's again an eternal promise, suggesting the past, present and future you as a couple have together. It's beautiful.

Interesting! I never knew the stones had any significance to them, but now it makes sense! I've heard in some cultures that rings are given for every month of the year, and then the marriage happens!

The Engagement Ring
