if they are lucky then they will find a gf / wife
but she will also tend to be the boss type in my opinion ~ because i have friends who like shy guys and even ask them on a date ^__^ but those girls are very bossy, not typical in my culture... most always the men will go after a girl they pick and like, not the other way around.
I suggest you try and come out of your shell, you otherwise may regret it very much later in life.

That is absolutely my boyfriend and honestly I did all initiating... there are girls out there who are doing to know what they want and go for it, even if the guy is shy. It is cute. :)

But it's rare that a girl would do all that. In most cases, the girl will either assume he's not interested or just won't do all the initiating.

I really hope not, but I'm definitely in the boat of missing opportunities because I wait too long. There have been two cases specifically recently that jump out to me. Both were friends who still showed an interest, but both ended up in other relationships before I ever got the nerve to ask them out. So no, hopefully us shy guys don't end up alone forever, but I've yet to prove otherwise.

What the other guys said are both true.

And, a larger percentage of men than women end up never married. Thus, it's probable that shy guys are disproportionately represented in that sample.

With a shy guy, 2 things can happen:
1- He meets a girl that is super out going and forward, and does the talking/work for him (really rare)
2 - He gets over his insecurities and becomes more confident in himself to talk to girls
