Stray animals deserve love too

Lady7

People have been asking me why i adopted kitty (my cat) where i can get a persian/maine coon in the petshop? Why would i want to spend tons of money just for a stray cat like her? Feed her all the good things, spend a lot of money for her recovery where i could but a healthy cat at the store? Some can even get really mean by saying "stray animals (in this case cats) don't deserve love" or "why didn't you just leave her in the street so she could die there in pain".

I believe that cats choose their "owner" and not the other way around. Kitty came to me out of nowhere one day and when i asked my dads PA she said she's (kitty) been in the office for at least 6 months, i go there very often and never met her once. She needs love and a place to stay, and I've been looking for the perfect cat for few months until i met her.

I took her in the next day and she went to her first trip to the vet the day after that. We found out someone tied her tail (this is what stupid lower class indonesians do to stray cats, the vet said she often found it on stray cats that she treated). She cut off the rubber bands and apply some sort of cream on her tail. We also found out she was pregnant!

Few weeks after this her wounds are still not getting better. Its still wet and we can still see the muscle/flesh. The vet told me that if its not getting better in another few months she has to amputate it. I was so sad when i heard about this. A week after she told me this her wounds are starting to show signs of healing.

Few weeks later she gave birth to 4 cute kittens. We were so happy but it didn't last long cause few months after that we had to say goodbye to them. My sister has asthma and we had to give them away.

The story didn't end there. Around one month after we gave away her kittens she had to go through surgery because she has Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Her uterus was filled with cyst so the vet had to remove them. The sad story doesn't end there, before the surgery her vet told me that she could possibly die bc of this. It broke my heart, I couldn't contain my tears when i heard that. I had to wait 6 hours until the vet told me the surgery went very well. Its been almost 3 weeks post-surgery and she's now a very happy loving cat.

The reason why im telling you this story is bc i want everyone who thinks that stray animals doesn't deserve love to understand that all live matters
