It depends - if it is a group hug involving strangers ehh maybe not I don't want to be squeezed by a bunch of strangers (happened to me last week, I ducked in the last moment and left them hanging lol). If it is individual and they ask for it, I would be pleased to give them a hug & share the love! But they have to ask for it, not randomly touching me without my permission (oh how do you dare sir? I am a decent woman!)
This reminds me one time I hugged a woman from behind thinking she was mom. She turned around all confused and shocked, lol. I got so embarrassed, I apologized and told her that I thought she was my mom.
If someone did that to me, I would have the same reaction as her, lol

I don't like it when strangers touch me :-/
1. put hands over pockets to make sure they don't take anything
2. keep their hands away from my "area" (push away if they go for it)
3. ask them why they are hugging me
4. once they stop hugging me I get on with my day (if they pursue then I run, if they pursue repetitively/for a long time then I report them to authorities)
If it's a guy, I'd punch him. If it's a girl, I'd get awkward, slowly get her off, and run away. :/

It's happened to me a few times before. Especially when I go to gay bars. The guys are very friendly.

Have you ever experienced drunk hugging? When you're around a lot of drunk people, chances are you're gonna get hugged by a drunk stranger. You get used to it.
Sober though? I usually tense up.
That's happened to me once lol. But before the guy could apologize I kneed him where it hurts and told him to back off. I kind of felt bad afterwards though.
I generally hug strangers when I've been drinking. I've been hugged by complete strangers before and I just hugged them back.
I would give the person a "what the hell" look and when he/she explained himself I would be cool with it.
