If a girl posts a picture of herself in her underwear she'd probably get called a slut or an attention whore. But then its okay for her to post in her bikini. Yes one is underwear and the other is a bathing suit but look, they are like the same thing. Unless the girl is wearing like a thong of course but its pretty much the same.
Why is it inappropriate to see girls in their underwear but not in a bikini?
I don't think there's a difference, but I won't even wear a swimsuit in front of people, nor will I even change in front of my boyfriend. I'm super self conscious so both are never worn in front of people.

It's what is taught... Whatever is installed into our minds by society and people we grow up with from the time we are born is what we will believe and take it as how it should be
I will not downvote that because I hate downvoting and downvoters but that just proves it. it has been put in the minds of most women that there is a difference. It's just in THEIR minds.
It's to do with consent; if you wear a bikini out, you're choosing to show your body. If someone sees you in your underwear then probably they're in your private space and you're not choosing to let them see you
I've always wondered as well haha hopefully someone gives us a good answer

Well it's the same with a guy wearing trunks but no shirt. If he went around all day without a shirt people will call him a douche showing off but at the beach it's expected to have your shirt off.
