I'm very sorry to hear this, people like your parents should be reported, however it's not the case in most cases still. In what country do you live if you don't mind me asking?
I've studied the Qura'n and it never actaully state that one has to wear a headscarf, however it is uneducated, close minded people like your parents, who misinterpret it don't bother to change or take a second to think about it, they're also very highly unlikely to change.
I hope that you don't have to live in a Muslim country. My advice for you, is to do your best to get away from this poisonitive environment, focus on school work and be too of your class so you can get a scholarship and study without their help as well as get a job and save up, so you'll be qualified for future part time jobs and have money for an independent live.
just tell them, i think u should ask this same question on the turkish site since girls over there probably have the same experience and could give u proper advise whereas half of the gaggers over here don't even know what hijab is.
This is wrong of them to force you but I can understand where you're coming from as I live in a Muslim country as well... if they're too strict then you gotta wear it until you're 18. 😕
Well you have to take your surroundings into consideration.
If you do decide to tell them and stop then you will have to give a convincing argument. They'll probably ask you why and if you are Muslim.
But just know that doing something intentionally that you know might provoke someone is unwise.
