Why does my ex put me down?

Okay,long story short my ex decided he liked me the first moment we met. He would find every excuse to be where ever I was. He was IN LOVE with me 8 or 9 monthes before we dated, we talked for a couple of monthes because I just couldn't decide if I liked him back. I mean I knew he liked me a lot because he lost his phone at one point in time and it was gone for about a month and as soon as he got a new one,he texted me. I had forgot all about him. But anyways,we talked for awhile and I started developing feelings for him too. We started going out and everything was great,but then a couple of days before New Years I found out him and his friends were hunting with this girl who doesn't have such a good rep. around our town. I got really jealous and kinda mad. I thought I had a good reason to be mad. Anyways we argued about it,and worked everything out. Well New Years Eve rolled around and I stayed the night at his house. He got a text from that girl telling him happy new years. I didn't mind,I mean I trusted him. Well I asked to see his phone which was never a problem before but he wouldn't let me. I had a bad feeling something was up,but I let it go. He told me I had nothing to worry about,that he loved me and he would never do anything to hurt me. The night went on,everything was fine. We woke up and everything was fine. I left and he text me as soon as I pulled out of the driveway like normal. But then later that day he text me and told me he wasn't ready to be tied down,I was DEVISTATED. He begged me for about 8 monthes to date him,and when I finally do he dumps me. We have been broken up for 4 monthes now,but I still love him,and I have to see him almost every weekend. He tells my friends that he can't stand me and that I am a very jealous person,he evidently talks me down constantly to everyone and I Haven't done anything. Why does he put me down? What can I do to make him want me back? I have apologized and everything,but he is very stubborn.

well he is probably putting you down because he believes you had nothing to fuss about. Maybe you should calmly talk it out with him, see what was going on. you should be sure he is tlling the truth. The way you make guys tell the truth is to tell them that if they DO tell you the truth your aren't going to be mad at them but if they DONT then that's when you're going to be mad (at least that works with me). ANyway my advice to you is to calmly, proffesionally talk it out with him.
