I think girls are just more emotionally resilient simply because they are more emotional creatures, they experience emotions more often and on a larger scale than men and probably know how to deal with it better. The hormones in their body screws with their emotions all the time and they also have to deal with and be around other girls.

Women don't actually fall in love with the person themself like guys do. They fall in love with the idea of the person and the things the person does for them. These are easier to replace.

I think for the most part guys don't really communicate there feelings with friends especially male friends. So having that with someone and then losing it is a big hit. I remember when I was young and had a break up it felt like my whole reason to get out of bed in the morning was gone. As I got older and had more interests in life I could occupy my time when I felt down and commit myself to things like work or trying to get to know others with the same interests.
I think we put too much self pride in it. Like, why am I not good enough or what do I tell my buddies…. Girls can get upset but they tell the girls about the asshole that fucked them over. I don't know. I’d agree that I mostly take it harder than my ex’s did. For the most part.
Because the girl has had time to start the healing process and if she’s breaking up she already has fallen out of love. For the guy it’s an immediate shock and he’s a few weeks behind her in the healing process.
Same could be said in reverse if it’s the guy who chooses to break up with the girl.Agreed, not always.
It all depends on the individual.Yeah that happened to me
