My ex broke up with me a few days ago and I feel horrible. Our anniversary was coming up and I told him to order our clothes. I asked him multiple times to order them and he kept saying he forgot. I got really mad at him and told him since he can’t prioritize our relationship I was going to distant myself for a couple of days. He didn’t lash out, or anything. He just left me. Broke up with me. I don’t understand, why didn’t he fight for the relationship? Yes he apologized in the beginning but I’ve asked him to do this multiple times to do these things. I do not understand why he broke up with me.

Because some people don't want to feel like they are fighting for yhe relationship as shitty as it seems I'm not sure how I would respond to it if my partner told me they would distance themself as essently thats what u was threatening to end the relationship so he did it for u
