Who do some exes still think their ex partner is still obligated to put up with their shit?

excuse me. Your ex is your ex. They send your boyfriend or girlfriend, fiancé, wife, husband, etc anymore. They aren’t any longer obligated to put up with your shit anymore.

Okay, with husbands and wives divorcing. I understand things can get messy or if someone has kids with someone.

But otherwise. I don’t take shit from any of my exes (some exes are cool if we ended on good terms maybe not compatible or someone moved or lost internet and we decided to end on good terms)

But don’t take shit from exes. You don’t have to put up with their shit anymore. But why do some think you’re still obligated to? Assuming you were not married and don’t have kids.

I ask the same thing. I think there’s different reasoning and I really do think people are addicted to toxic love because toxic love keeps things interesting to some people.

@asker the issue is , is most people aren’t what you call “normal” . A lot of people have suffered from childhood trauma and such and unfortunately the traumas they have endured bleed into their adulthood life and affect them majorly. Love is honestly one of the worst things to invest yourself into when you haven’t fully learned yourself and I think personally everyone should go to therapy before investing into a partner and such. If more people went to therapy, people would have better results with love

What my point was. Is that some people think that once you have broke up with them. They still think you’re obligated to put up with their shit.

In some situations such a divorce or if kids are involved. Might be a different story.

But other then that. I won’t put up with someone’s shit after I’m broke up. If we ended on good terms and still like one another. Then sure. We can talk.

But if someone thinks I will put up with bullshit. They find themselves blocked on everything. It’s never gotten to the point where I needed to get a restraining order. But some people do find themselves in those situations.
