i love this man but for some reason we could never make it work. I always thought he had other girls and he always thought I had other men. The answer is one day at a time or even one hour at a time. Find those things that bring you joy and fill your day with them. Little things. Fresh coffee. Petting the cat. Fall leaves. Etc. Do those and be intentional about filling your life with those. And one day at a time.

I can't opine on whether or not he likes you, romantically or not. But what I can say is when you said "I'm glad you're good" there's nothing there for him to reply to. Give him a question he can respond to, "What have you been up to?" or "How's your dog?" or "Who's going to win the Super Bowl?" and go from there. You're not desperate as long as he's not shutting you down and I don't read that just yet.
