I didn’t believe in it but it still happened to me, women file for divorce 70% of the time so inevitable, I didn’t really want to but she did so I’m single now for 7 years now and still looking
Not all women file for divorce, not all women go through the courts and take it all. I left my marital house to ex husband (joint names but solely paid for by myself) and done a life & death document so that neither party could claim anything further down the line. I am sorry however for your divorce as there are no winners and finding yourself again is hard. I do hope you find someone if you are looking to be back into the dating scene but if your not just remember “you matter” 🤗
@Poppy47 yeah I didn’t say all but most do , she didn’t get the house though, the bank did, the real kicker was her getting married 2 weeks after the divorce was finalized. I guess you were in a better position than I was, I am still searching though so thanks, it’s tough out there
Believe me, I wasn’t in a better position, I was put in a social flat in a very bad area. But 6 months before I decided to leave everything and walk away, I was placed in a 24 hour psychiatric hospital as I tried to commit suicide “I simply couldn’t take anymore, had no way out” but then I fought back and left my house etc to take my life back and say “I matter” no money, house, marriage/relationship etc is worth dying over. in a turn of events I did get my house back as he couldn’t pay it but I did it legally through courts. Yes I still struggle (normal working person) and I have found many items of women’s lingerie etc in my house after clearing his stuff out but I’m alive. Be safe
@Poppy47 wow I’m glad you pulled through though sounds like you went through quite a bit like I did since I was paying really expensive child support for three kids on top of losing everything that I had and to this day I still don’t have much after several years
If a couple has demonstrated they simply cannot be a couple anymore, have exhausted efforts to reconcile (unless of course one cheated, or performed a highly illegal act then it should be automatic), then they should be able to divorce.
What I AM against, is alimony for long periods. One year maximum. Prolonged alimony is akin to slavery.
When I get married, I want to be happy with my wife for life. Sometimes there will be problems, but these problems can be solved. I don't think there will be a problem that can separate us from each other.

If there is no other way, then yes, Two people can't go through life appeasing everyone else and be miserable.

Yes, but it should not be easy.

In what sense? That when two people have ripped the marriage papers apart, that their relationship still continues?
Divorce is something people do because they shouldn't have married that particular person.
I'm not blind to what makes me happy, so I'm not making that mistake.
Yes. Know when to quit. There's no use of beating a dead horse. Sometimes you just have to throw in the towel. Not everything's repairable.
In a perfect world people would marry their true loves and live happily ever after. Real life isn't always like that making divorce necessary.
Well, it was either that, or bury her in the back yard under the grapefruit tree!!!
Absolutely. Everybody needs an escape plan, and very few things in life last forever.
Yesm some people just do not belong together and they should have the option of splitting up.
When I get married, I want to be happy with my wife for life. Sometimes there will be problems, but these problems can be solved. I don't think there will be a problem that can separate us from each other.
I really want to say no, being the hopeless romantic I am, but there are indeed understandable reasons.
No. Marriage should be unto death. But I do believe in separation if the people can't get along.
Yes, but divorce is very despised, though halāl and kosher.
I believe in trying to fix it and make it right unless they cheat
It happens, so my belief in it doesn't affect its existence
If it is not working why be unhappy life is too short to live like that
Divorce is one of the many reasons I don't believe in "love"
I do but in the court house NO, if the man is the bread maker they rip him into shreads.
I believe that if you get married in a church you should get divorced by that church.
