Why is my ex so obsessed with me?

It's been two years since I broke up with my ex and he won't leave me alone since the break up. The relationship was terrible. He treated me like crap, ignored me most of the time, i would call and text him for days even weeks and he wouldn't answer. The relationship ended after he got caught cheating. I've moved on to other guys but he stil hooked on me. He messages me almost every week from different ways of communication. The last time he texted me he told me to stop blocking him then brings up memories about how he took my virginity which i deeply regret with him. He was never nice to me and was distant most of the relationship there's no reason for him to be this obsessed.
