Why is my ex boyfriend always teasing me lately?

We've broken up for a year now. It's his call though I think its because he knows I wasn't happy before. But I feel like we never stop liking each other, though there was a period of 6months where we became distant as that time I was ignoring/avoiding him. Since I went oversea for holidays in Feb'12 and came back he has change so much and was being all nice to me again. He talk/joke/teasing me a lot when we are at work. I only work with him in the weekends so we don't see each other that much. He's really shy and he likes to hide his feelings. Lately we've been working together more and he's always teasing me. He seems genuinely happy when I'm around even my friends notice that. He's smiling for no reason. I feel like he still likes me a lot but I also feels like he's not ready for a relationship. It's been over a year, what could he possibly want? Don't say sex because its not about that.

i do like him yes, but the feelings aren't as strong as before but they are there yes..how I react in he beginning I was glad cause I felt a emptyness without him..i don't want to lose him , he is my best friend so I felt like I lost my best friend..so I was happy again when he came back and I didn't expet aything, now he flirts a lot and I'm sceptical and scared to be hurt so I don't take him seriously..but its cute at the same time..him wanting to see me and being sweet..nut my guards are up ;)

Do you think he wants to get back with u?my ex is very confusing,he tease me a lot and the next day he's quiet. He told me he's going on leave for a month in 2weeks because the boss made him. I think he is kind of sharing his life with me. But I could be wrong.
