Why does my friend keep bringing up my ex?

She's knows good and well that we broke up less than a month ago, yet she constantly brings him up. This is not helping me, the break up is still fresh and I'm trying to move forward. She lets me know every time she sees him, and sometimes she'll even bring up our past issues and reasons we broke up. She also talks about how great her relationship is constantly and everything her guy does for her all the time. Basically, every time I hang out with her she talks about her man or my ex. Frankly, all of this is just making it harder to move on with my life I don't like how this is making me feel, how do I tell her to stop bringing these things up? Or should I just stop seeing her for a while?

It sounds like your friend kind of sucks no offense. I used to have a friend like that we don't talk anymore. You don't have to be a loner like me though, you definitely have a right to tell her to stop just be like I don't even want to think about guys right, lets make a rule not to bring them into conversation until my love life is back on track. She most likely isn't doing it to be rude she is just thoughtless.

She isn't your real friend. Either she has an agenda behind doing this (who knows, maybe she's trying to hurt your feelings for some reason, or she secretly likes your ex), or she somehow thinks you'd be okay with this and is being unsympathetic. Either way, tell her to stop and you don't have to be gentle about it either. If she still continues, distance yourself.
