There is good and bad in everything. Many of us complain about the grass being greener. I wish to merely point out there is an equal side to all things. If it is really bad then, it must also be really good.

Pros and Cons of Being a Girl in the dating world
As a girl you have to worry about the way you look more than a man would. Many of you may see that as a HUGE con, that guys can have great dating results without being that attractive but, as a girl, you cannot.

Like I said, there is good and bad in everything. Girls, if born beautiful, will have many guys all over them. They will never really have to be alone unless they choose to be. They may not always have the exact guy they want but they can get a many guys much more readily than the average guy can get many girls. Unfortunately because the PRO is so AMAZING, there must be a bad side to it. Girls, if born ugly, may have a harder time finding a decent guy than even the average male. The guys she gets are only with her because they believe that is where they belong. The guys who haven't build themselves up will feed upon this girl. This girl on average will never get the higher end guys, instead she will be left with the guys who are too lazy or lack the vision to build themselves into these higher end males.

On the flip side, being a guy can suck. Girls, if born beautiful, don't have to do much but because women are not as visual as guys, men have to build themselves up and cannot rely on looks like women can. They have to work harder to be ideal. Their character and actions count more. What is the good side of being a male? Well, if they are born ugly, they aren't punished for it in their dating results to the degree of women. They can just build themselves up in other ways because women are not as visual as men are. There are 2 sides to everything. There is even another side to being the girl who is born beautiful. They have nightmares of their own. A girl may be afraid to go into a profession because it is male dominated but if she changed her perception she would see it might be easier for her to get in and do well because there aren't many women.

1. When you speak of " pretty privilege" this smacks of leftist bullshit. The left - all being communists at there core - is obsessed with what they view as "equality" they have a penchant for deeming everything they don't like as "privilege" . This is a shaming attempt from the left to try to tear other people down it is also the result of envious people who can't stand the fact that there are others out there who have something they don't. Get used to the fact that there will always be others out there who have something you don't. There are other out there who will have more money , more experience , more connections and more brains , will be better looking etc. This idea that we all need to be equal is preposterous beyond all measure. 2. Being attractive takes work... a looooooot of work

Do you think that a model or someone attractive is born that way? Yes , there may be some people who have been blessed with "attractive genes" but even they have to work at it. I am a decently attractive guy ( or so many people have told me over the years). But guess what? I watch what I eat , I avoid excessive drinking and all illegal drugs and I work out. I also work hard for my money so that I can have decent cloths, I shower twice a day and keep myself clean. I work at it. Do you think these super attractive women i. e , a fitness model just toss a coin in the magic wishing well and voila!! She is now a fitness model? Nope. She has to work at it. Diet and exercise are key , not to mention getting good sleep. You can say what you want but it takes work , discipline and consistency to look good.

Most people are decent looking enough ( save a tiny minority of people who have had horrific accidents or born with some physical deformity) and trust me when I say this but most of the people that we would deem physically unattractive are so because they are lazy and don't take care of themselves. Do they watch what they eat or do they eat like pigs? Do they get some exercise or are they couch potatoes? Do they take care of their hygiene or are they slobs?

3. Attractive people get treated better.

Yes , and if you throw a ball up in the air gravity will pull it down.

This is the way of the world. People can't help it. I have seen it myself and this is nothing new. If you dress with some decency and take care of your physical appearance then you will be treated very differently than if you dress like a slob or you look like you just rolled out of bed. If other people are too lazy to put some time into how they look then too bad for them. But nobody with an ounce of self respect is going to lower their own standard just to satisfy a bunch of envious, leftists cu#$ts

I don't know if that is you in the video but if it then you are very pretty and you should never be ashamed or apologize for that.

If anything, the "pretty" girls tend to be less overtly obnoxious, because they're usually trying to downplay any attention towards them, where as the ugly girls almost seem to be overcompensating with their obnoxious "girlboss" and "queen diva" attitudes. It's always the short, obese, ugly, or ghetto ones like this, too.

So I don't consider "never getting the Higher-end Chads" to be all that much of a negative.

Not in looks, no. But they are in height, income, ad confidence level. If you're a guy and you're under six feet tall, your dating options have just been cut by 75%. Automatically. A man has to be 6'6" to even come close to "struggling" with women the same way a 5'11" or shorter man does. Likewise, a man has to be literally perfect in ALL OTHER categories just to 'compensate' for the grave indignity of being born short. Just look at 5'8" Zac Efron. Or 5'7" Taylor Lautner and Tom Cruise. A man has to be THAT good looking in order to "balance out" being shorter than six feet. I don't think "ugly" girls have it that difficult. Just my opinion. Also, girls want good looking guys the same way guys want good looking girls.

So women not caring *as much* in looks still doesn't give ugly or short men as much leeway as you'd think. We're still screwed.

If a woman is born beautiful then she typically is more desirable to men, which in turn makes her life much easier than say someone who isn't blessed with beautiful natural looks.

It isn't just about looks; but also ideas. As well as a tolerance for dishonesty.

I was once very skinny and athletic, and, as some would say, good-looking. Then, a horrible seasonal flu plus some high school drama cause my body's cortisol production to kick into super duper overdrive. Since neither I nor most of my family understood this at the time, they just assumed I was overeating, and berated me for eating totally normal amounts of food - which only added to my stress.

As a result, by my junior year in college, I'd gained quite a bit of weight. But the weight was a gradual issue. The real problem started way earlier.

See, even from age 4, I wasn't always content to simply do what everyone else was doing. I wasn't content with shallow answers. And I couldn't tolerate it when peers were lying, and I could tell they were lying. And some would insist I not say anything, because "feelz." But mine were okay to ignore? I saw BS, I called it out. Everyone needed to be honest. I wouldn't settle for establishments that pride themselves in "truth" overlooking obvious lies for the sake of some insane political vanity.

The more NPC-prone kids didn't like me doing this. It went against the grain. Speaking of grains, when everyone else was ready to abandon the sandbox for social hour, I said nuts to that and stayed in the sandbox. I had to make a sand building that was my idea of perfect - before the next little f*er came along and knocked it over!

I wasn't content with the standard "sand castle." I wanted to know how to sculpt. Give it character. Give it function. Visualize what a miniature sand society living in that thing might want or need. This pissed the teachers off. It went against the grain.

"I thought you didn't want us to be lazy!" I would protest.
"We need you to do what everyone else is doing!"
"Don't you have enough volunteers for that? Who is gonna finish this thing left undone? Why is there never enough time? If I don't finish it, who will?"

I'd get asked to solve story problem questions, for placement. But to heck with the fox and squirrel's original problem. I had to throw a curveball into the mix. The squirrel had a cousin who was a pilot. But something went wrong. The plane was leaking fuel. How much time did he have to evacuate the passengers, before the plane crashed because it ran out of fuel? And what was the fox gonna do about it, if anything? Also, what other hobbies did this fox and rabbit have? World-building, baby!

Preschoolers weren't supposed to be asking those sorts of questions. The screwl got very annoyed with me. In kindergarten in another state, I found out quickly how such non-conformists are treated. Others picked up on that, and my peers learned it was nifty to make me the target of their bullying escapades. This continued until 8th grade.

Come high school, most of the bullies were gone. But the women wanted nothing to do with me. I wouldn't sneak out with them for sex; because I had too high of morals. I as limited in ability to take them places fun by their definition. My hobbies and interests didn't align with theirs. And they couldn't stand it when I would refuse to do something illegal / immoral.

Another Pro/Con I didn't even realize the first 28 years of my life is the pro males have of not having to worry about being raped. This is a pretty big pro for guys and con for gals, imho.

I have always been free to do whatever I like, go wherever I want, go skinny dipping way out in the middle of nowhere woods alone or with friends of either gender, with absolutely zero thoughts of being hurt by strangers or those I was with. Thanks for this insight. It was fair. Also I think you need to delve more into semi attractive women vs semi attractive men. That’s actually where the greatest gulf exists in dating. Semi attractive women with at least somewhat decent personalities have MUCH greater pull then semi attractive men. A very attractive man will always be able to pull at least semi attractive women (he needs much more if she’s really attractive). However a semi attractive man will held to a much higher standard dating a semi attractive woman.

Anyway I don’t expect things to change but I really do wish more women would just RESPECT the odds men are against. If you understood what it’s like for us then you would understand how the friendzone is the probably the most insulting thing you can do to a guy.

I don’t know if I agree with this. I’ve been a model for 7 years (since I was 17) so I’m relatively conventionally ‘attractive’ I guess. But I have only been in one serious relationship and have trouble finding guys who truly like me or who aren’t ridiculously shallow, or players or creeps. Most of the time I’m single and not necessarily by choice. This goes for a lot of my pretty friends as well. Also, as a straight woman, I personally think that women value physical attraction just as much as men do sometimes. It really depends on the individual though. I personally date for both looks and personality. It has to be the package as a whole.

And all this for being a girl in her prime years (even if she is past 30). While men (mostly young men who are still developing themselves) must go swim through a sea of glass and have won the genetic lottery in many aspects to consider themselves okay in the dating game.

So in other words, women get suitors for just being women while men have to work for it with no guarantee they will get anything.

Women's biggest challenge is to weed out the bad ones from the good. And they often shoot themselves in the foot when choosing partners because they act more impulsively than rationally. Hence why every girl complains about her exes being "toxic".

So yes @Vivaldi is actually very accurate in saying it is almost impossible to date a girl. Especially since western women today have unrealsitic expectations (whom mostly they do not even meet themsevles).
