Many people are not good listeners. What I will say in this myTake will go in one ear and right out the other, forever lost in the depths of total oblivion. You are not the ones for which I am writing this myTake.
No, I am no fool, I know quite well that I write with the understanding that I may only reach 1 or 2 percent of the people reading this. But, you know what, that is OK, because if you are those one or two, that will make it all worth it!
For you to find a match, someone who will always love you for who you really are, that will mean everything to me, just as it will to you. I am starting to cry thinking about it because I know what you are longing for and for who. But now, as I dry my tear, let us continue our journey until we reach the final destination.

What I am about to share with you is so simple and so easy, that the ease alone will be your excuse for not doing it. You are going to say, something that simple just couldn't work, yet it has worked for countless others and yes, it will work for you too.
But how can simple easy steps be so hard for some you ask? ...well, I'm so glad you did.
ANSWER: THEY'RE NOT! What's hard is getting off your tush and just doing what is simple and easy. Now, first things first.
FIRST, WHAT NOT TO DO
Don't use GAG or any other social media site as a dating site. Yes, it can happen, but not so likely and even dating sites are not even close to the best way to find your prize. I have a girlfriend that connected with a GAG guy and he flew her over to his country to meet him and they had a wild weekend, but they're not together now. I know what I am talking about. This myTake is for those looking for "Serious", "Long-Term" relationships ...OK? ...Get it?

"Volunteering is a voluntary act of an individual or group freely giving time and labor for community service. Many volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work, such as medicine, education, or emergency rescue. Others serve on an as-needed basis, such as in response to a natural disaster."
What can volunteering possibly have to do with finding the perfect match?
LET'S EXAMINE WHY RELATIONSHIPS FAIL
Among the top reasons for failure in a relationship is Selfishness.
Now many people misunderstand what Selfishness really is. Selfishness has two sides. One side of Selfishness is actually very good. It means to look after ones self. You can not just throw yourself to the wind and take no care for your own well being.
In fact, quite the opposite is true. You must put your well being first, for how can you care for others if you are in dire need yourself? You are the most important one to you and you should be cared for first and foremost so that you in turn can then care for others.
But what about the next phase of selfishness. That is the bad side of it where you could care less about others unless there is something they can do for you, something you can get out of them for your benefit. That is where relationships break down.

In a relationship, you must be seeking ways to help your partner become great at everything good that they want to become and achieve in life, just as you hope they will do for you.
So, what does all of this have to do with volunteering. HERE'S THE ANSWER...
There is no more selfless and unselfish act than to give of your time to help others while expecting nothing from them in return. What kind of person would do such a thing on a consistent basis? ...I'm not talking about a one and done, but someone who devotes a portion of their life helping others. Do you think someone like that would make for a good life partner? YOU CAN BET YOUR LIFE THAT THEY WOULD! ...if they care for others, they will care for you!
These are not the selfish ones, in the bad sense of the word. No, quite the opposite. This is the person that I want you to find because he, or she, is the one who is going to love and cherish you, and here is how you are going to find them, first by becoming a Volunteer yourself ...YES!!
HOW TO FIND THE PERFECT VOLUNTEER GROUP
First, you want to look for a sizable group. A small group of 3 or 4 volunteers is not going to give you the pool of prospects that might help you to find the perfect match. Look for larger, national groups that attract large numbers of volunteers. Here are some ideas.
CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)
As implemented by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), CERT is one of the largest volunteer "Emergency Rescue Teams" in the world based out of the US for the strict purpose of aiding in National, Regional and Local emergencies. You can participate in three levels of active service to your community and you will be extensively trained in each level for FREE! ...Yes, I said FREE! And upon completion of your first level of training, you will be given a backpack full of emergency rescue supplies ...No, I am not kidding!
Earlier I said there are three levels of training, here they are.
LEVEL THREE: This is actually the first level.
The CERT Program is a tuition-free class developed due to the growing need for a well-trained, civilian workforce. The CERT program provides members of the community with the knowledge and skills necessary to be self-sufficient in the event of a major disaster or emergency. When emergencies happen, CERT members can give critical support to first responders and also provide immediate assistance to disaster victims. CERT members will work in teams and assist with directing other volunteers in the initial phase of the emergency. CERT members may also by alerted to assist and participate in other non-emergency projects to help improve the safety of our community.
To become a CERT graduate, you must be 16 years of age, possess a valid Driver’s License or a valid ID card, and complete the 24 hour course (Level 3).
Level 3 training is taught by your local CERT qualified instructors. This course is followed by continuing education classes, namely bi-annual refresher training.
LEVEL TWO - The CERT Level 2 course consists of three elements:
1) American Red Cross Course
2) FEMA Independent Study Courses
3) Department of Justice Background Check
LEVEL ONE: This is the highest and final level of CERT training. Upon completion, you are now designated as an "EMR" (Emergency Medical Responder) This is near the equivalent of an "EMT" (Emergency Medical Technician) less the Ambulance training. There is however additional Medical Supply Vehicle Driver training available as well as other things like Emergency Traffic Control, HAM Radio Operations, etc, of which I have all such additional training.

Upon course completion, the student will receive a certificate and will be registered with the State Fire Marshal as a First Responder. First Responder Certification is valid for two (2) years.
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer teaches students to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants, use an AED on an adult or child victim of cardiac arrest and use of personal protective equipment to stop blood borne pathogens and other diseases from spreading.
I am a trained LEVEL 1 CERT Search and Rescue Volunteer and have participated in many fire and police emergency operations for over 4 years now, including the single most destructive wildfire in California history and the worst in the United States in a century. Close to 19,000 structures burned. In Paradise, California alone, more than 11,000 houses burned to the ground.
I was a part of the Animal Rescue Team rescuing ducks, chickens, sheep, goats, cats and dogs. I was home in bed for a week afterward due to smoke inhalation, even though we were wearing masks. The fire was raging the whole time during our rescue operations.
