In my defense, most of them did not give any hints that they wanted to be more than friends. And whenever I got the nerves to ask, I got rejected lol...

This has always been my problem lol. I don't think I've ever made the first move (besides texting someone first) which sucks because I would love to. I usually wait for the guy to come around to me, and very rarely does that happen lol.
I feel yah on that one! I've never had guys approach me and i've never approached guys really. If i was friends with them, or something, i'd get their number and i'd text them but other than that.. nothing.
It's okay, i feel ya. But maybe you'll meet someone who will make you change the aspect of you holding back and will cause you to express your feelings one day :)
I hope so. I really don't know why I never go for it - not even when I know I'd never have to see the guy again if he rejected me. Though right now I have the perfect excuse - I can't ask him when I have to see him twice a week in a seminar, right? ;) UGH I hate that I'm so shy.
This probably doesn't count but I actually started a (very harmless) conversation with a nice guy from my literature class after the lesson was over and we ended up walking to the train station together. Yay ;)
I guess she liked me too since she gave me looks and smiles. But as a shy and insecure teenager that doesn't make things easier. I'm not in contact with her and franky I don't care anymore. I've moved on with my life since many years ago.
Always was like this in school. I don't flirt much.. I don't think Im good at it. I'm awkward and more of a loner ecept in special cause, like when met my first boyfriend. :) I miss him.
I used to do that when I was young because I used to put women on a pedestal. Now I still don't because I believe women aren't worth the trouble and I got bigger things to worry about.
Haha, i'm currently going through that right now. He likes me, i like him.. but im just dodging everything he gives me because i'm too shy or whatever. It's pretty stupid of me.
im not sure if it works this way for girls too, but if i like a girl already, she has to say something REALLY stupid or be a horrible person for me to stop liking her
flirt with her in person, then message her on Facebook making a joke, then completely ignore her next time i saw her, then act friendly a few days later. im messed up lol
Being shy just makes us more cautious of things! Eventually, something will make you snap out of it and realize that once you stop caring or whatever, you'll be brave enough to do what you want and express yourself more.

Exactly the same situation here haha
Better question, "have you ever liked someone and actually made a move? "
True story
ah that's a good one, ill ask that next time ;)
Yeah when I was younger I was too shy but now I figure go for it and see what happens! It's better just knowing and having a go!
Why yes of course. Plenty of times. If I think about it - every time.

Hahah, i guess so. But maybe take a chance! New year, new you am i right ;) jk i should take my own advice too.

yes
but never made a move because she is MILES away from the place i live LOL
LOL do you guys Skype or talk or anything at least?
Had a crush for about six years during my teenage years. Never told her.
Aw unrequited eh? Are you still in contact with her now?
I guess she liked me too since she gave me looks and smiles. But as a shy and insecure teenager that doesn't make things easier. I'm not in contact with her and franky I don't care anymore. I've moved on with my life since many years ago.
That's alright! Well, at least you're over it.
Yes I'm intimidated by every girl I am attracted to.
I feel the same way around people i find attractive as well. It's hard, but have you had any luck with over coming it at all?
nope I mean I'm better at conversing but I won't do things such as saying "let's get drinks sometime"
Aw, well maybe just give it a shot? Or if you have mutual friends, go out as a group?
Always was like this in school. I don't flirt much.. I don't think Im good at it. I'm awkward and more of a loner ecept in special cause, like when met my first boyfriend. :) I miss him.
Aww! That's alright :) And do you guys still talk or no?
Not right now.. I've been told he needs time to think.
yeah has happened to me before... i was having a total lack of confidence in myself and let him go
I totally understand on the lack of confidence part. Do you still talk to him or no?
nope... i think he is married/engaged now
Oh, that's too bad.. But hey, there's people every where :)
yeah lol
I used to do that when I was young because I used to put women on a pedestal. Now I still don't because I believe women aren't worth the trouble and I got bigger things to worry about.
LOL! That's a good way to go about it.
Yeps. Way back in the early days of school life I never dared to make a move.
Yes! And I regret it to this day! :(
I guess you live and learn. :/
Yes, and in reading the other opinions, I'm not at all surprised how common this is.
Yes, i've made move and couple times turned out bad
I can never make a move. I'll get close to making a move, but I'll quickly back out of it.
yea i used to. even if i knew she liked me back i would play it cool... too cool. like wtf can go wrong if she likes you back?
Haha, i'm currently going through that right now. He likes me, i like him.. but im just dodging everything he gives me because i'm too shy or whatever. It's pretty stupid of me.
@e92brah How cool would you play?
im not sure if it works this way for girls too, but if i like a girl already, she has to say something REALLY stupid or be a horrible person for me to stop liking her
@soso007 so cool that i'd never make a move
Aww... that's sweet. I hope my guy is like this. :D Now, let me ask you this, if one of these girls had asked you out, would you have ever said no?
i'd never say no, if i like her i like her i'll give her a chance. either id make no move or i'd kinda make a move and leave her confused as hell
I'm the same way, usually the guy has to do something completely dumb to turn me off.
@e92brah "i'd kinda make a move and leave her confused as hell" that's interesting. What exactly was the scenario?
flirt with her in person, then message her on Facebook making a joke, then completely ignore her next time i saw her, then act friendly a few days later. im messed up lol
@e92brah It's okay, shyness is brutal. I'm used to be horribly shy myself. I'm sort of better now... :)
No... not yet found anyone to catch my attention! :(
You'll meet tons of people as you go through life, good luck!
Thanks!
Yes I have
:(
I hate being 1 of the shy guys
Being shy just makes us more cautious of things! Eventually, something will make you snap out of it and realize that once you stop caring or whatever, you'll be brave enough to do what you want and express yourself more.
Thanks appretiate I hope ma shyness is gone soon
All the time. Hell I never even had a girlfriend yet. Didn't even started dating until the last 5 or 6 months or so.
Aww well better late than never! I usually refrain from telling someone how i feel and i haven't dated at all
