Why do I crush on older men?

I am currently 19 years old. I crush on guys my age as well but I just feel like older men are sexy and more attractive while guys my age are simply attractive, i dont know. I'm talking about men in their 25-35 years of age frame.

I've never dated a much older man though and I never would I just crush on them. I catch myself at times trying to flirt with them which is another thing. I never make physical contact though.

Older would be forty. 25-35 is right in line with normal for your age. Well, you're a little young, but getting there, especially once you hit 21 and are of legal drinking age.

These guys are smarter, richer, better looking, better in bed, and better able to entertain you, know how to treat you.

The guys your age are, well, just boys yet. Guys really don't come into their own 'till about 25. While a woman's SMV peaks around 22-24 the guys don't till about 35-38. A good looking high SMV guy forty can pull women from 20 to 60 - pretty much the entire age range. Once a woman hit's forty she's, well, getting old and saggy. Oh well.

Don't squander our youth and beauty. Don't wait 'till you're 30 to start getting serious about finding a mate. The longer you wait the more difficult it gets, to the point where it becomes virtually impossible.

I think it is best that the girl is 3-7 years younger than the guy for various reasons. And it is fairly normal. Guys prefer to date younger and girls prefer to date older (until they reach 35 and are still single and become cougars).

That being said - if the age difference is too much, then it hints to one (or both) of the following:

- Daddy issues. Either having no father involved or an overbearing, overprotective and/or oppressive one.
- Lack of self-esteem. Wanting someone older to give stability, protection and experience - the things that you are lacking.

While 25 would be still in the realm of where I say that is reasonable, 35 is already getting in the realm where I would have to ask you if one of the two listed things above are correct.
