Dating someone with abandonment issues?

I've been dating a man in the military for 5-6months which was 2 1/2hrs away but who just moved states so now it's 3hr plane rides. I for some reason don't have issues having a long distance relationship as we both have busy lives and don't need to see someone 24/7. He keeps mentioning how people always leave him because he moves so frequently. I know he cares deeply for me and already asked me up to see him for an extended weekend. How do I get him to realize I won't leave him and commit to me?

Just text him at least once or twice per day and make video calls once at least per week , when u talk to him try to be in ur best mood , don't do it only because it's Sunday and it's the day to make a video call , be there for him with ur whole mind and don't play for him , if ur tired just let him know , like : babe I had a busy day can't talk to u now but I make sure we will have a good conversation tomorrow

You have to reassure him always about it. If he really have abandonment issues whatever you told him if you don't always say it, he wouldn't believe it.
You need to reassure him everyday.

Well you can offer to move closer. thats a big one also just give him love just dont smother him.

U choose the body part where u can be confident to have it.

I dont think its an abandonment issue
its self image issue, where he thinks that people dont find the relationship with him ( friendship) worth pursuing when he moves.
which naturally makes him think that you might feel the same way, because that is what he is used to

When people say someone in the relationship has issues they create more problems. I would just not call it anything.
