I'm kind of seeing someone?

I asked this girl if she was seeing anyone, a simple way for me to ask if she was available. She said no and I was like, how about I leave my number for you? So she gives me something to write with and then I start writing my number down and she was like well I'm kind of seeing someone. I just left my name and number anyways. I hate that, girls are always kind of seeing someone, that goes for guys too. Why would she change her mind? That's not the first times that's happened either. One time I asked a girl for her number and she kind of hesitated like she was trying to decide if she should give it out or not and then she was like well I'm kind of seeing someone. I assumed that as her turning me down, when really I think all they're saying is they're single and available, but they are going on dates.

Well, she was interested in you, until you gave out your number. That basically means that she has to do the contacting first, and that's a major turn off for women. They want the man to make the first move, should it come to contacting, sex, dating, or most other things. Had you asked for her number instead, things might have ended different.
That's somehow the way it works, and i don't know the exact reasons why. I'll post this question on G@G and try to figure it out. In the meantime, whenever you get a girl, ask for her number instead. If she's interested, she'll give you her number without hesitation. If she hesitates, she is not interested and you asked for it too soon. Also, the number is bogus, or it'll just get blocked.

I actually asked this a while back about how girls always told me they had a boyfriend when I asked for their number. This girl answered my question and asked me several more questions about how I approached them and she said try giving them your number and see what happens. I would even chat with them for like 10 minutes or so before they said they have a boyfriend. Anyways, the girl on here was saying that then the girl can at least put some thought into it vs being put into a bad position since I always like to approach random girls or girls who are working.

Give up on trying to get a girls number. Talk to them multiple times at a location. Don't stalk but show mutual interests
