He asked me, 'What are your intentions with me?' - what is the best way to answer?

Anonymous
I am interested in this guy, we've met under 5 times but things seem to be going well. I would be interested in getting into a relationship with him but I think straight up saying 'I want to be in a relationship with you' will not be the effective answer. This would remove the chase aspect which men tend to love, and also I can't know for sure this is how he feels currently. Therefore saying this could put me at risk of rejection and or him losing a little interest.

I want to say something along the lines of 'I want to see you more, maybe this could go somewhere if we continue to get along'. Truthfully I want to get my message across but at the same time show that I am a person of value without desperation.

Any suggestions?
