It's been 1.5 years and we've finally decided to meet each other. It's exciting but... Really nerve-wracking.
I'm stressed out. What if i did a mistake? Do I really want to be with him? What if we don't connect the same way we connected online (no pun intended)
I'm happy with him, I'm just super stressed out. Anyone has a happy long distance relationship story?

It was worth it. I was stressed till the last second. When I saw him, I squealed and hugged him.
It was my best friend. I literally found a missing piece of my own self within this person. I'm blessed to have met him and his family. He was my first everything! My first (long term) boyfriend, my first kiss, my first time...
Anyway! Don't be afraid to go for it. If it's the right person, it won't matter where they are in the world.

Dunno if anyone still cares about this, but he came to visit me here, met my family (everyone knows except my dad... 😂), even celebrated new years with my huge, messy family. I might get an apartment of my own soon, he might be able to live with me for a while 😁
Meeting my LDR boyfriend for the first time: Help?
What reason do you have to think you've made a mistake? Have you seen his pictures of himself or have you video chatted with him? Why would you question if you want to be him with when you've already spent 1.5 years in a LDR?
Whatever happens, just smile and hug, you could even cry if you really feel the need to.
+1 I think the most important thing though with LDR is you both need to be open to the idea of potentially relocating to be with your partner. If you don't ever wanna move and aren't the loyal type, it never works.
It was literally the best time of my life, and it is NOT an exaggeration. I've never felt this at peace with someone. You know how in movies they always say the person was their missing piece or their half? It genuinely felt like that.
We would come up with the same jokes. Some waiter did something and we both said something back at the same time.

At the airport, i was too afraid to look at him.
I saw him from a distance, and IMMEDIATELY LOOKED BACK DOWN 😂😂😂 He came up and we hugged, he gave me a quick peck and we walked back to the car.
Later on he told me he never felt so special by the way i looked at him during the ride back to his home 😂
I met his family 🤣, his mother took pictures of us to send to his WHOLE family...
Seriously. Long distance is possible and absolutely fucking worth it.
So wait how'd you have your relationship? Through video calling and texting? Would you say he loved up to your expectations personality and looks wise?
We met through a few friends, I'm in Canada and him in spain, so yeah, mostly texting and calls. Physically, he was MUCH taller than I thought, he was a head taller than me 😂 personality wise, he was much more romantic (through gestures such as holding hands, kissing, giving his jacket, pulling chairs for me..) than online. I've learnt more about him than these past months.
He is much more demonstrative with his affection than verbal, while im the opposite. Coming back to my own country, now i feel more secure about the way he shows his love. Other than that, he was my best friend IRL too, which was great.
We were both afraid we would be awkward or it would be difficult, but it really wasn't
This is exciting! The nerves are going to kill you up until you’re face to face, so you should just focus on the fact you’re finally meeting someone so important to you. LDR’s don’t always work out, but if you’ve gotten far enough to meet, you two eill have a blast together

I'm super happy for you! LDR's are some of the most healthiest relationships if successful. As for meeting them, it's okay to be nervous, just let things go naturally. ❤
Oh yes I do... My boyfriend and I met on here and he helped me out a lot... we dated in August and I went to see him and live with him in Oct because of stuff that had happened to me... Well I ask him for a pic of him and the first words out of my mouth was this : your not my type I realized I said something hurtful I realized that I don't need go judge anyone by there looks it ain't right.. I just had a gut feeling that wasn't right... Well Oct came and I was scared go death because of my parents ( who r now in jail ) what they did to me... and well he helped me out a lot he rescued me.. and he paid over a grand for me to come live with him... after i was rescued I left my state and he was there and still here for me... when I saw him we were both happy to see each other... that was the best I won't forget...
So just remember... don't judge by how they look because you won't know if that was actually the one for you..
And one day he may look not ur type etc but omg... he will look sexy once u see him...
its normal to worry. Yes people are different in person than they portray online. But its an opportunity to meet someone. If you're wrong and its not what you expected then you'll have learned a lesson. Do you have any plans for the big day?
I'm in a LDR and I can understand your stress. I also was nervous the first time we met after months, even tho we were only friends there. Don't think negatively about it. Think about all the good things that will happen.
