If there was a law passed that forbid Men to approach women for "dating purposes" or "flirting" do you think women would finally do the approaching? (Page 3)
It already has become the law, right now. www.stylist.co.uk/.../287681 foreignpolicy.com/.../ Under this legislation, 'misogyny' is classified as a hate crime- and is defined in the law as “incidents against women that are motivated by the attitude of men towards women and includes behaviour targeted at women by men simply because they are women”. As such, any and all such approaches, of any females by any and all heterosexual men, already DO constitute 'misogynist hate crime' in the UK. Or, rather, as noncriminal (for now) "acts of misogyny", they will all now be recorded as “hate incidents,” while acts of criminal misogyny will be recorded and prosecuted as “hate crimes,” stated Mark Khan, the lead on hate crime for the North Yorkshire Police (who've recently implemented this new legislation, following the lead of Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Somerset and Avon, Surrey and Gloucestershire, with this law now holding sway over more than 7.5M people); who also stated that "recording these low-level incidents of misogyny provides valuable data to the police, since verbal abuse often escalates to physical attacks", and implicitly justified placing any and all males deemed to be guilty of "low-level incidents of misogyny" (i. e, any attempt to approach any woman, in any manner, for "dating purposes and/or "flirting", by any heterosexual male, since this would constitute a clear example of "behaviour targeted at women by men simply because they are women”) on a watchlist for the rest of their lives. This is not alarmism- this is not exaggerated rhetoric. This is what they're explicitly stating that they're doing right now.
@DevilsAdvocator Misogyny is hatred towards women. So how would it be misogynistic if a guy is interested in dating a girl? It would be misogynistic to refuse dating her because she's a woman, right? That law doesn't make sense. We are all gonna be doomed. Misandry needs to be a hate crime. Much more serious than misogyny.
I think it's the fact that women don't know what they getting into when men approach them. Men only think with their bottom head. So that leaves woman vulnerable.

If they didn’t do the approach then I would have to say goodbye to all relationships between two of the opposite sex that have yet to be created.
No, but only if they're hella desperate or around friends
I think it would be just like it is with men now: some approach most dont.
Lol the way things are going it will be law soon
and whats ur opinion of this law?

@SkipStop I'm very scared about being a guy living in the US knowing it may very well be the same here and we can't do anything to stop it anymore?
The human race would die out within three generations😆
I don't know, but I'm sure some of them would use this law to jail men for fun or out of pure bitterness.

I highly doubt it, I assume the MeToo talk, movement, inspired this question
Confident women would be fine. Shy women would be alone along with many men.
What's it with people wanting laws to take away rights of the people and the individual?
Women, especially older and other undesirable women already approach men.
No still probably not. And men of quality would move elsewhere.
No. They would simply lie and accuse practically every man that says hi to them with rape.
Not a chance. Maybe 10-20% more might but the majority would just complain that men are cowards
You can't pass a law to limit basic human instincts to find a potential mate.
Can't say I care. Highly doubtful my dating situation would change
Well they'd need to, you'd think the answer would be obvious..
I've been approached a fair few times it does happen you know.
Nope
They wouldn't want to be seen as desperate and s lutty. But they might communicate via letters
I think women would like it as much as men do or they would not consent to it
You have my vote mister
